Truth doesn't bother me because your idea of the truth is extremely distorted and you my friend are living in the dream world.

Didn't you get recently banned from CD.com?    Keep it up BBA and you are gonna find yourself banned from here to.  22

Banned for disagreeing with you ? 16 That's weak, DTJ.

I've been saying for years that Axl wouldn't release this album and I'm the one living in a dream world. Don't think so. I like how you get upset and threaten to ban me when you know that I'm right. Guess that's the next best thing to having a rebuttal.

I guess if you consider Frank Ferrar and BBF as being GN'R buzzworthy ??

I bet most people wouldn't even be able to tell you that those guys are in the band. Or care for that matter. Most of the GN'R buzz that was caused this year was by Slash, Duff, and Steve. Even Izzy for showing up and playing with Steve on the 20th anniverary of Appetite. I think that's what the majority of the world would consider GN'R "buzz". Not a no name drummer and BBF doing a Talk Metal show. Plus, Axl doesn't even allow those guys to talk about GN'R.

I guess you didn't know that the show had a segment on Chinese Democracy as well.    When you have mulitple channels airing shows with GNR the buzz is GNR, that is Axl and Axl is the current GNR.   You have the media talking about Axl in every interview being done with Baz.    Now I wouldn't say Buzz like when Axl made his comeback but a buzz none the less.

What show ? The Biography Channel special ? I'm aware that they had a VERY small segment on Chinese Democracy. What multiple channels are you talking about ? The only thing the media normally asks Baz about Axl is "when's the album coming out" ? Every time Slash does an interview they ask him what the chances of the real band getting back together are ? Hearing Chinese D and a Guns N Roses reunion are the two things the media wants to hear or see. Not what Frank, BBF, or Robin is up to.

I'm not a VR diehard by any means, but I definitely wouldn't classify them as the "shittiest rock band around". Maybe Fall Out Boy is more your speed, I don't know ?. Not to mention that you seem to worship a guy that wears a mask and KFC bucket. You really sure you want to talk about a disgrace ?  16

Back in the beginning of 01, I would have agreed with you 100% about the BH thing.  I'll be the first to admit that my first thought was "who thell hell is that freak?".  But then I did a little research and actually listened to a few albums, and my mind was blown.  Its going to be a sad day when CD is released and BH's parts are missing.

I don't dislike Buckethead or his guitar playing. I own a couple albums. The guys definitely a freak though. I just thought it was humorous how bigbri referred to Slash and Duff as a disgrace yet he worships a guy like Bucket. Bucket knows how to play a guitar, but his "music" is a far cry from being great. Ask 9 out of 10 rock fans who they'd rather listen to on guitar between Slash and Bucket and I bet the answer you'd receive would be, Bucket Who ?

You're blaming them for that?? Its not their fault. There's no album for fans to feel a strong connection to this lineup. Of course people aren't going to think of individual CD era members when they hear the name GNR. Its impossible. When there is released material with those guys involvement, people will definitely know them, whether it sells 50 thousand copies or 5 million.

A reminder: When the band made that comeback at the 2002 VMA's and created that huge buzz that unfortunately didn't last long, people weren't saying Axl was back. They were saying GNR is back. Joe Public is willing to move forward and accept a different lineup. It is Axl that is holding things back.

I never said that it was their fault ? I simply said most people don't consider guys like BBF and Frank as being GN'R buzzworthy. I agree that there's no way for the fans to feel a strong connection to this lineup, and I don't any of the current members for that. Guns N Roses has a legacy and it has absolutely nothing to do with the guys that are in the band today, with the exception of Axl. What's the legacy of this new band ? That they don't release albums and aren't afraid to cancel concerts for no reason ? I think that it's very likely that it will always be this way. People can bitch and whine all they want, but I think it's evident to most that Axl's not trying to build anything with these guys.

How many times have any of you googled Guns N Roses or Chinese Democracy news in the past year and got results that had something to do with a BBF or Frank and a Talking Metal interview. Or Tommy, Finck, or Fortus for that matter.  Hell, the majority of Guns N Roses news results had to do with Axl, Slash, Duff, or Steve. I'm not saying that's Axl's current member's fault, but it's true none the less.

BBA, concerning your previous post, BBF has talked quite a bit about GNR since joining. In fact, he has been the most fan friendly person to ever be in the band. Do I like him? Not much, and I would prefer BH take his spot any day of the week, but you gotta give credit where its due. He treats the fans with respect, and I would go as far as saying he treats them as equals.

I agree with your entire post, James. BBF's a nice guy. No argument there. I'm just saying when most people think GN'R buzz, BBF probably doesn't come to mind. That's all.

Well here we are again folks, Christmas is coming up, New Years will be right around the corner and still no CD.   With that said, I don't feel the anger on the boards as much as I did last year.

IMO with Axl being on Angel Down, especially being released now, has tamed the inner jaded fan in some of us for a bit, at least for me.   Given that this is Baz's album it has giving us Axl on official recordings, the boards have been active with news surrounding that and it does keep Axl in the media at a constant right now.    GNR seems to be the buzz again, beit old GNR because of the recent specials that have aired but none the less we are seeing Axl, we aren't hearing from him but we are seeing him so that's always a plus.

What are thoughts on the vibe of the GNR world this time of year as opposed to last year at this time.

I wish that I could say I feel this way.

Axl being on Baz's album did absolutely nothing for me. Also, I haven't noticed Axl being "a constant in the media" at all, unless it's been jokes about him. The only buzz that I have seen this year has been caused by rumors of a potential reunion and the 20th anniversary of AFD. The Biography documentary basically covered the legacy of the real band. It had nothing to do with this act that Axl has been taking on the road for the past 6-7 years.

I'm really hoping that 2008 will be the year of reconciliation between Axl and Slash. Imagine the buzz that would cause.  9
