Clearer view here with titles de-coded. If they’re correct, Tell No Lies. It does kind of look like Tell Me Lies though. Can’t really see them covering that song unless they change it up quite a bit. That song is actually called “Little Lies” though so might be just a coincidence.
I like seeing Breakdown, but no Monsters?

I think that pretty much goes for most every country song. Simple life experiences and pleasures. Guy met a girl who was into GNR late night at a bar and they lived happily ever after.

Not sure if this deserves a new topic or belongs here since it’s a song from another artist. I’m not a fan of country music but this one is about meeting a girl who’s crazy about GNR. No mention of Chinese Democracy or though.
I think we need a part 2.

Interesting, I figured there had to be more to the story. Maybe Duff just never felt in sync with Frank but tried to work through that and it finally got to a point where he felt it wasn’t going to happen and a change was needed. Would make sense that it’s “his drummer” who’s taking over too.

So it doesn’t sound like it was really up to Frank. That’s what I figured. It still seems like an odd decision after 19 years. I mean if he’s not the man for the job, why did he last so long? He’s even been playing with Slash & Duff for almost a decade now. Are they just now realizing the chemistry isn’t there? I feel bad for Frank in that sense. Seems like it was a surprise to him and he was preparing for the tour.

Kind of a weird situation but that’s par for the course with this band. Not that it really matters but he either came to this decision pretty recently, he was thinking about it but just not speaking about it publicly, or the band felt that it was time for a new drummer all of a sudden.
I mean who knows what really goes on behind closed doors. Could be a lot of legitimate stuff we’re not privy to. Just odd timing and out of the blue. Kind of like when they got rid of Pittman, but that didn’t seem as amicable.

Weird. I know nothing about this guy other than he’s played with Duff in Loaded but it doesn’t seem like a big name add that you’d push Frank aside for, so maybe Frank really did want to move on.

Interesting timing to be leaving. Has he commented on this at all? I wonder if it was solely his choice or if it was a mutual parting of ways. Hope they at least knew this was a possibility with shows on the horizon in a few months.
Never heard that stuff from Brain. Good pull there. Some time has passed so maybe he has changed his tune but I don’t really see him coming back to play with the current lineup. Maybe Sorum? We’ll see.
Edit: I just re-read the part about the amicable exit. So it sounds like it was a mutual decision, although that could be just a nice way to put it and the band actually had someone else in mind that they preferred. With this band, who knows if we’ll ever really know and ultimately it doesn’t really matter. I wish they were bringing in a drummer to help with the release of new music but we know that’s not the motivation in all likelihood. Frank lasted a long time and he was loyal. Who’s next? Most likely they already know who it is, they’re just not showing their cards yet.

Anyone remember the name of that porn star that was here for awhile?
Tabitha Stevens posted here a few times. Assuming that’s who you’re thinking of unless there’s been multiples. She used to be a regular guest on the Stern show back in the day and she had some connection to Steven Adler.

faldor wrote:I don’t want to get into a whole conspiracy theory here, and I know the totals aren’t all in yet, but it is a little interesting that there were 11 million fewer votes for Harris than Biden and Trump’s vote total was about the same. Did 11 million who voted for Biden just not like Harris enough to vote for anyone this time? I realize the landscape was different with Covid, mail in ballots, etc. but 11 million missing votes is a pretty large amount.
It's an untenable narrative. Supposedly 11 million extra people came out with a strictly anti-Trump vote and suddenly none of these people bother to stop Trump this time around.
Biden had 95% of registered democrats voting for him. That is an insane number. His rallies were empty, so it was obviously not because of enthusiasm for him as a candidate. With Kamala getting none of these extra votes you gotta wonder what the hell is going on.
I stayed up all night watching that count. Trump was way ahead everywhere until suddenly they stopped counting, and then the next day all the votes had apparently gone to Biden.
Yeah, I was monitoring early on Tuesday night and all the projections were Trump was going to win and by a decent margin. And those kept getting stronger as the night went on, but I still didn’t trust them. But it did play out that way, which was shocking. Never thought he’d win the popular vote. Like you said, the whole democratic platform and campaign was Trump is Hitler and “anybody but Trump”. Apparently that didn’t work? Were the 11 million more people that voted against him just fed up with the last four years? Doesn’t really add up.
