I feel that CITR and Prostitute is the most mainstream friendly songs they have. They aren't too involved with alot of stuff going on and are very catchy if you are thinking in a mainstream point of view.

I saw GNR as MSG and they played pretty much on time. I don't recall waiting long at all for them after Papa Roach.
Now Hammerstein we waited awhile.
I do think that it comes with the GNR territory. I know I am going to wait awhile and most if not all GNR fans know this so I am already prepared and not shocked when it happens. I do feel for any new fans that don't expect this to happen. But ya know it's part of what makes Axl...well Axl. Like his song says, he isn't gonna change for anyone. He has his reasons and I do believed if he was forced the show wouldn't be as good if he's not mentally prepared.

That is just ridiculous.
I know isn't it. God forbid the store closes for the weekend when an employee gets trampled to death and the windows are all broken surrounded by vulchers that just can't control themselves.

Still doesn't mean much to me. My interest is the number of units sold within the first couple of months, in particular the first month.
How many would it have sold had it not been a Best Buy exclusive? Best Buy isn't exactly on the same level as say a Wal-Mart.
I still say it will do better (by a million or so) than Contraband did when the smoke clears. To me that's successful enough. I never thought it would be the 10 million units sold like some people dreamed of. I guesstimate it will sale 3-3.5 million copies.
Keep in mind that the target crowd will NOT be the downloaders like most of us, it will be the guys who still buy cds at Wally-World or wherever. I was in Wal-Mart today buying some stuff (for fuck's sake STAY AWAY from Wal-Mart until after Xmas...it's HELL!!!) and a Forty-ish looking "good 'ol boy" was looking for the album. This isn't over.
Totally Agreed!! I think that it only being available at Best Buy could have totally hurt the sales it's first week if people don't know that it's only available there. When they find that out, now they are going to get the album.

I liked a few songs from them. I wouldn't mind seeing them back together to see what they can do.

Sorry BLS, I didn't know you didn't see it.
Neemo I was thinking the same thing...I was like Nooooooo don't end!

I think GNR will tour in 09 but I don't think Bucket will be apart of it. I'd really love to see Axl do any kind of show but I don't that will happen. If they don't tour, I will agree with Neemo, that would be really bad for GNR. Whatever buzz was created over the release of this album will fizzle real fast over the year of 2009.

How cool would that be! I love Mike Patton he's so great, inparticular I love his band Tomahawk.
I am also pleased to hear Blink 182 is going to get back together, I loved them too.
