I remember Better was edited on Radio 1 after a week of airplay, they cut out the middle section and it sounded a mess.

I remember thinking without band involvement the album release was always going to vanish from the medias radar. All these radio stations, music magazines and media are massive marketing tools and bands and musicians have to play the media game for them to push their music.
As soon as it became clear Axl was not coming out of hiding, they all just dropped it, kicked it to the kerb and moved on to something else, talking about bands and musicians that will happily communicate with them and are out enthusiastically pushing their music.

When CD came out everyone was hoping to hear from Axl, get that first reponce or announce the first shows. But there was nothing behind the release, a complete vacuum, and it sucked all the initial enthusiasm and interest into oblivion.

Thats insane, must feel like the end of the world when its on top of you.

Best wishes to everyone affected, hope you all got out without a scrape.

The last 10 years or so has been unreal for record breaking weather, especially the last 5 or 6. We are in the middle of a mini heatwave here, it must be one of the driest Aprils we've ever had. Seems like every other season comes along these days and something unusual happens.

I dont believe him either, and I really dont want to be sceptical, but I've been made this way after so many years of let downs.
But whatever, I'm caring less and less, this band has no direction or purpose and only new music can reinvigorate anyone who has had an inkling of interest in GNR in the last few years.

#1054 Re: Management » MyGNR closing for business » 810 weeks ago

All this affair has done has remind everyone that he is a tool, but somehow I dont think he gives a shit, he's not chasing any popularity votes and its plain he's all business rather than pleasure.

I actually find his cold indifference to his forum users much more bearable than Jarmos methodical lechering and bullying hmm

#1055 Re: Management » MyGNR closing for business » 811 weeks ago

A clusterfuck of GNR proportions 16

So what is everyone implying about this girl found dead, that Eric murdered her for her forum?

#1056 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy now $1.99 » 811 weeks ago

I think Madagascar would have been a good first single, the lyrics and message of the song fit his return perfectly.

In a perfect world where I ran all things GNR, I'd have liked to have seen the songs released as double A sides over the course of just a few months:

1. Madgascar/Better

2. IRS/If The World

3. This I Love/There Was A Time

Boom there ya go... world domination 19

CHINESEDEMOCRACY.COM IS BEING SHUT DOWN

Dear members,

It has been a fun 10 years. but my anus hurts as I live in Athens Greece since 2006, I am dead broke and have dept. but since Axl sucks I will not change my fucking mind about closing this site. The $$ is too fucking unbearable and since I have no creative skill and practice the ethics of a leech I am shuting down.

Sure we don't have the google ad placement as others do. but somehow within an IT infrastructure that is based on the needs of a server I was able to go from a dedicated server $160 a month to a semi-dedicated managed server for $80 to host not only this forum but the GNR tracker that has about 5000 active members. This server also hosts many other projects and websites for people. For a long while I even had gnrontour.com on it and that site had lots of traffic. Sure I paid out of my pocket a lot and I do the coding myself now for the sites (he don't) and with the help from the Tracker Community as we give them a great service.... donations do help and from few friends at cd dot com related.

but I am a filthy stinkin' un-loyal piece of French Canadian sloth poop bowl that was always in it for the gold.

Therefore... I will be closing C D and if this really doesn't scare you.. then .. then I'm closing the tracker too. I mean it.

I really mean it.... don't offer me 10k for the forum.... and don't offer me to pay the hosting. at least not for less than $200 a month. maybe some amazon gifts?

Thank you and Blame Axl,

BP

http://www.chinesedemocracy.com/forum/i … 6.105.html

Seems there is some love between the forums mad

I've never liked that BP guy and his patters always been shite and his forum even more shite. He's just as bad as jarmo for selling out and toeing the company line, mabye even worse, his fawning over Fernando and making him "SuperMod" or some shit when Axl came was hilarious 16

Didnt it come out around 2005/6 that HTGTH had ties or even being funded by Universal?? I definently remember something like that happening.

#1058 Re: Management » MyGNR closing for business » 811 weeks ago

Funny how it can go offline anytime for maintenance but now they have to wait for the service provider to shut it down.

Its a bit of a shithole anyway, it used to be decent but the last couple of years its plummeted to an unintelligible level of stupidity. I'm not suprised Eric wants to bin it, I think at the root of all this is a guy who is just another disillusioned fan who is moving on in life. Plus MyGnr is a major headache just to read occasionally, never mind having to actually fund it and deal with the legal threats from the band its suppost to be supporting.

#1059 Re: Management » MyGNR closing for business » 812 weeks ago

Lol at HTGTH having "potential" 14

HTGTH used to be the best site without a shadow of a doubt, it had a wealth of information, high quality mature discussions and a nice friendly atmosphere. It all turned on its head when he chose to be a lap dog and him and his admins were all overcome with a sudden dose of arrogance and set about agressively instilling a divide between old and new GNR.

#1060 Re: Management » MyGNR closing for business » 812 weeks ago

NewGNR is a toilet and so is CD.com, HTGTH is a ghost town and GNFnRs.com is a poor mans MyGNR.

This site should be considered up there with the big boys, I dont see any of those other sites being referenced by the music media, GNREvolution is referenced as a source by quite a few major music sites reguarly. Even HTGTH doesnt get that kind of respect from the media, in fact the only HTGTH reference I've read in the music media is when Classic Rock Magazine called the site "Axl's lap dog."
