I don't know how a horror fan could not love Drag Me To Hell. I guess if you don't like Sam Raimi and his Evil Dead series, then I guess I could understand it. But then again, I don't understand not liking Sam Raimi hmm

Horrible movie.  Wasn't scary at all.  The only reason people jumped was they turned the speakers up to 20.

And I don't want to see Paranormal Activity.  Looked shitty from the previews.  Glad I didn't see it now.

Anyone see Saw 6?  I haven't even heard anything about it and forgot it had been released already until just now.

I thought DMTH was poor as well, I'd heard good things about it but was pretty disappointed.

I've heard better things about Saw 6 (even talk of it being back up to Saw 1 and 2 calibre) but I haven't seen it myself. Despite the better reviews I can't muster up enough enthusiasm to care to see it.

I guess it depends if Slash wrote the lyrics to the songs. I'd be surprised if he wrote the lyrics to the songs then just invited Ozzy or whoever to sing. No doubt there was some form of collaboration but as Slash isn't known for his lyric writing abilities I'd assume major responsibility for lyric writing went ot the vocalist, or another collaborator.

^ I agree, still looking forward to hearing the song though, sounds like a promising album.

BTW, don't address posts to me if you are going to put the words "lame" and "GN'R" in one sentence.

If the criticsim is constructive, sure, I'll listen.

Your trying to censor my posts. I'm sorry but if you have a problem with me expressing my opinion you'll have to live with that.

You should be more respectful when talking to the actual Barbi Von Grief anyway. Her brothers bicycle is the whole reason we have GNR in the first place and she single handedly deciphered the morse code messages in the lighting during GNR's more tender ballads on the 07 tour. In fact I'm not quite sure where we'd all be without her.

Good to see the dates officially recognized anyway.

Now to wrestle away control of the GNR website from those evil underlords at MLB and all will be well.

People are just expecting the absolute worst, as usual (and I can't say I blame them completely.  It just seems tiring at times).  Just like people swore the album would never come out until it actually showed up in stores.  How the band wouldn't tour ever again, and some may still believe that.  So now, it's "we'll get the same show AGAIN!"

I certainly don't expect them to abanodon AFD, but I would think they'd play more CD songs now that the album is actually out.

I agree with you here, the comments from Axl online suggest there will be more emphasis on CD now that the albums out in terms of songs played live. I can understand people being sceptical but to say you won't buy a ticket because the tour will be another AFD tribute tour before a single notes been played is a bit OTT. At least wait to see what the setlists and reviews coming out of Asia are before making such statements.

As always with GNR they let any momentum they have built for whatever reason die and be forgotten before they try and capitalize on it. Whether this is the bands fault or 'external circumstances' I neither know nor care it's irrelelvant. Assuming they don't release a single in the next 2 months (which they definitely should) they're hitting the road with absolutely no momentum behind them, who's talking about GNR right now? Hell even we're talking about U2 instead of GNR.

Back when CD came out people we're aware of it and aware of GNR. Hell the albums release even got coverage the friday before release day on national news here. The album got to no.2 in the charts and CD was on the radio. If people had googled GNR at that point and checked the GNR site and saw they had some dates booked in the next 6 months they might, just might have bought a ticket.

As it is they're touring behind an album they released a year ago with minimal promo and the promo there is directs you to a site that hasn't been touched since spring. Forget opening acts or venue size if this whole tour had been scheduled exactly 12 months previously those sales figures would be looking twice as healthy. Poor timing and lousy promotion are responsible for stuttering sales not the opening acts.
