To anyone interested in music in vaults and posthumous release plans, I recommend this article on the Grateful Dead.
It's a bit long but has many fascinating points.

^You raise an interesting point.
The thought that springs to mind is that of Axl fretting so much about the public response that he wouldn't allow post-humous release if Slash were still kicking. Who knows, some sneaky party might even ask Slash to re-record the geetar

^Right, since no-one's sick of LALD or KOHD already.

I don't know about you Monkey, but I gotta say that if a drunk person I haven't talked to in a long time shows up at my door unannounced, letting them in or talking to them isn't at the top of my priority list
Has happened to me a few times.
I've always given them the time of the day.
Never regretted those, btw.

I was trying to think of a reason for Slash to be sober at 5.30. That might actually be it.
"I did go by his house but I was drunk."

4. The One That You Hated
--- Even better. Easily one of the best songs on the album. Still just as good as the first time I heard it.
The only song I've bothered with so far.
Exceeded expectations by a long shot. Nice job, Steven & co.
***1/4 stars - 3.25/5 -- Pretty Good
this album is easily among the best of post-GN'R output. Easily. ... I'd actually put Adler's Back From The Dead among the Top-4 at least, if not Top-2. Yes, it's that good.
A 'Pretty Good' album on itself is a 'that good' GNR alumni album.
How sad is that?

We pointed out that his Wikipedia page says that he had a keen interest in past life regression.

Blah, blah, blah.
Then fucking correct it already.
Totally agree, but to play Devils Advocate here, he was referring to his religious views, which he said are personal to him
RS: Talking about being conscious of things that happened before you were born might throw a few people.
Axl: I don't really care, because that's regression therapy, and if they've got a problem with it, they can go fuck themselves. It's major, and it's legit, and it all fits together in my life. Everything is stored in your mind. And part of you is aware from very early on and is storing information and reacting. Every time I realize I have a problem with something, and I can finally admit it to myself, then we go, "Okay, now what were the earliest stages?" and we start going back through it.

Hey Axl , whats your favourite song from either Chinese Democracy, or from an unreleased album?
The bridge in "Elvis Presley and the Monster of Soul aka The Soul Monster (working title Leave Me Alone), which will no doubt end up "Soul Monster".
I think it's r most Black Sabbath moment. Sang it on a Christmas eve. Imo the meanest section of anything I've sung to date. Which, having said that, I'm sure when it's heard others may disagree, but we felt it was a Christmas card of unadulterated venom so to speak. I felt a lot better afterward.
Soul Monster dates back to 2002, when Marco Beltrami did orchestration for it.
They had finished tracks [...] and then I added orchestral stuff on top of it. [...] The music was eclectic and at the time that I was doing it [...] they pretty much had the band tracks down, [but] there were no lyrics on the songs that I was working on." (Marco Beltrami, IGN, 07/20/03)
I'd be intrigued to think Soul Monster vocals were recorded after the downfall of the 2002 tour, but we may never know for sure.

You would think after seeing so many dead bodies up there that people would know what they are doing is ridiculous and foolish.
You'd figure.
But it's a different atmosphere in those altitudes. You don't get even that high by whimpering your way up. You just move on, focusing on your next step. Inching closer to them boots or that shape in the cave. One step... Another. Third. Slowly, the shapes build up.
The word surreal comes to mind.
