I will NEVER understand how a "perfectionist" like him would not do so.

Smoking Guns wrote:Faldor, are you more of a Slash fan today than you were say last Monday? Seems like seeing him live left an impression.
I wouldn't necessarily say that. I've always been a Slash fan. I've always wanted to see him live. I tried to recruit some friends to see VR a few years back but that fell through. It was just awesome to see all the guys. I screamed like crazy for Steven too, even though some of his comments in the past haven't sat too well with me. Too bad Izzy wasn't there. I may never get to see him I guess.
Back to your original point though, I do have a slightly different impression of Slash after seeing him live. I mean, I knew the guy was good, and I knew he was popular. But seeing it firsthand is something else. I honestly feel he was the most popular guy in the building that night and I guess that shouldn't surprise me, but I was kind of taken aback. When he came out to jam with the Chili Peppers at the end, the crowd went nuts for him again.
At times on these boards I may appear to be anti-Slash, though I hope I don't give that impression. Unfortunately, I spend a lot of time defending Axl because let's face it, he needs it way more than Slash because of the way he acts and the things he does. But that doesn't take away my appreciation for Slash. He is and always will be a part of the greatest band of MY life, and is one of the best guitarists out there.
With all that being said though, I can't honestly tell you I'll be knocking down the doors to buy the Slash/Myles CD when it comes out. I haven't LOVED what I've heard so far. Although, for what they did on Saturday night, I almost feel like I owe it to them, and I most likely will.
I thought you were anti-Slash for sure

Everything was lined up for him to take back over the throne and he showed up fat, with predator braids and was out of breath
