I don't see how he could invest so much (70 songs just by 1999) and not want to see everything
he worked on come to fruition. The only reason I could see him want to leave is if indeed Bucket
came back into the fold.

If he's gone I say call up Dave Navarro and move on. That really pains me to say that but at this
point, with everything being as close as it is, I'd rather see the band move on than try and wait for
someone to come around again. There's no doubt in my mind the album has been delayed since
2004 because of trying to get Buckethead back. sad

Hells yeah.

It could not happen, of course, but from the looks of things it would take a massive
catastrophic meltdown to make it not surface this year.

I read a few weeks before this whole thing started that Video Games were the future of
the music business. That bands now make more money off the video games than they
do singles and radio. The Management team were right fucking on with this move. Shows
this is a grade up from the Merck era. This is great PR.

I'll tell you what we'll do. Come here and start whining about Chinese Democracy

Maybe taking it in a NIN direction Russ? I think he might be there already 16

I will say that I think members of GNR have more creative say than the members of
NIN. And I think Tommy does hold power in this band. But even he knows that Axl is
the alpha dog of GNR who wields the power. So its not exactly a democracy... Pardon
the pun.

That's HUGE fucking news guys. 9

It got a cheer! smile

It's cool that they singled it out like that. Sounds like its being handled as THE first
single off the album. Not just a track on Rockband.

I'm more excited than that time Jesse got hooked on no doze on Saved By The Bell!

I'm so excited...I'm so excited...

didnt axl say at rock in rio "without paul....there would be no mroe guns n roses" ?

surely that made him as much of a member (at the time) than anyone else big_smile

I might be wrong, Neemo would know for sure, but I think he meant that it was his
support to Axl. Because it was an interview where Slash said Huge was his biggest
problem with Axl and the whole Sympathy For The Devil thing and Axl said that
Paul didn't want to be in the band and that he was just helping out.

I'm telling you, all signs point to this being very close.

most of us have been through this kind of stuff before...many times

I think that we need to relax and see what happens. I refuse to get excited until somethign real develops. Nothing is official until we get a statement from Universal saying that the album has a release date

anything else is smoke and mirrors

Well, I've been following since about 2000, and I've seen stuff many times as well, but it's never been like this. So I think there's a lot to be excited over. And if nothing happens its not the end of the world. It's not like waiting on a job promotion or your girls due date.

edit: What I mean is, I'm used to being let down, its part of the gig, but its not bad to get excited about it. But the album looks real promising right now. And no big deal if it doesn't pan out.

And thanks to the GNR historical society. 16

I remember Robin saying in that radio interview long ago that he didn't play on OMG but I guess he was wrong. And I thought Paul was never a real member of GNR.
