#11711 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » RUMOR: Royston Langdon is Velvet Revolver's new singer » 886 weeks ago
I dig it. I like the fact he's making it his own. Scott basically mumbled through
Its So Easy and let Duff sing it.
I'm interested. I think its safe, if true, Royston will bring some 70's era GLAM
to the band.
EDIT:
Wow, I really like his take on Rooster. He sounds pretty similar to Layne
without trying to imitate him.
I want to hear some original tunes.
#11712 Re: Guns N' Roses » What happend between 04-06 » 886 weeks ago
I think Axl took 2004-2006 to try and get Buckethead back.
#11713 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy Tracklisting Speculation » 886 weeks ago
If the tracklist is going the way it looks like it is I really hope Catcher In The Rye
isn't on there. I dig the song but I hope its saved for another one of the albums.
NO MORE BALLADS. Please. Especially if This I Love is on CD, which is supposed
to be a mega piano driven ballad... With harps no less. We just need some balls
out rockers. From what we know Sorry is supposed to be a slow grinding track,
or doom metal, whatever that is. I didn't hear Bucket and Bootsies version of
Shacklers Revenge, but wasn't that not that HARD of a song?
So that's three songs left on the album we haven't heard. Two if indeed This I Love
is on it. As someone who I played the leaks for recently said, "Please, somebody
get this man some cocaine."

From what I hear jarmo's a pretty outgoing person. I wouldn't try and start
any shit, but I'd love to know what he looks like in person in the midst of a
debate. The vision in my head is hilarious.
If we met the convo would go like this:
me: Hey, jarmo!
jarmo: Hey! Are you a member at my site?
me: No. I just lurk.
jarmo: Why is that?
me: Because you banned me, you asshole.
And I'll say it right now, I'd buy the man a drink.
#11715 Re: Guns N' Roses » Mysteron confirms "Shackler's Revenge" as an actual new GN'R song » 886 weeks ago
But if someone faked it, substituting NR for a song no one outside the GNR circle knew about, is like a billion to one.
Even though we are constantly fucked with, I'm really thinking this is legit.

I think these titles have been confirmed from G4tv:
Panic Attack (Finger Eleven)
Chop Suey (System of a Down)
Give It Away (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Everlong (Foo Fighters)
Kids in America (Kim Wilde)
Ace of Spades (Motorhead)
Hello There (Cheap Trick)
Anyway you Want it (Journey)
Pinball Wizard (The Who)
More Than A Feeling (Boston)
All The Small Things (Blink 182)
Aren't those the same that was on the Shacklers Revenge list?
I'm thinking this is good fucking news!
#11717 Re: Guns N' Roses » A re-post from MyGNR, A GN'R fan convention » 886 weeks ago
Jarmo and me at the same party??
To quote Spongebob Squarepants: that would be AMAY-ZING!
1,000 dollars says he would leave at the site of me... Or start crying.
But I don't know if a place exits to be able to handle that much GNR geekdom.

If by dangerous you mean drugs, booze, all night parties, rehab,
fights, run-ins with the law, sex with countless chicks...
Then I don't know what Lindsey Lohan is up to right now.
#11719 Re: Guns N' Roses » Bucket found a collaborator in the CD sessions? » 886 weeks ago
You know, if he could have just bypassed 2002 tour, concentrated on the album,
that time frame in that picture, Axl and GNR could have been huge again. It's sad.
It feels like whatever we get now is going to be a "What could have been."
Nice find though. Even though you made me depressed!
#11720 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Azoff factor re-examined: could he be targeting Bucket, not Slash? » 886 weeks ago
If Tommy saw GNR as a job then I guess he wouldn't have any problem
with Buckethead coming back. I think his hate went deeper than "he was
doing it out of loyalty." I think it was very personal to the extent that, from
what I rememeber reading, Buckethead refused to talk to anyone in the
band except for Axl and Brain. Now, you have to remember, Richard is one
of Tommy's best friends. If Tommy felt disrespected, than you can double
that if Buckethead gave Richard the silent treatment, too.
I don't think anyone should doubt Tommy's role. He's known as the General of
the band. And Frank and Richard are both in the band because of Tommy. You
don't think that's power? And sorry to all invovled, but Tommy is way more
respected in the music industry than Duff. Sorry guys. You can have a popularity
contest with who knows who's name more, but Tommy gives GNR instant cred in
the industry. Something the GNR name hasn't had in a long time. That's why this
line up is (was) known as a dream band, line up, supergroup.
I'm not trying to downplay the old line ups significance by any means, but there are
a lot of posters who've been trying to knock the new line up to praise the old. And
I'll say it again, a reunion, the way most people want, is never going to happen.
And please, Axl would NOT NEED a high price manager to get a reunion started.
