Well, if CD is released anytime in the next 8 weeks and they want to tour it, it looks like old Dave Navaro might get another shot in the line up.
That or Paul Tobias 
This band isn't going on the road without Axl's three guitarists.

I'd like to know who the hell has all these leaks. From the looks of it someone is rocking out to Chinese Democracy right now and has been for a while.
If Prostitute (yeah, I said it) has showed me anything, its that I'm still waiting for that big (GUN) mother trucking rock song to kick my ass. So far it's just Rhyad, IRS and CD. There's got to me more. Like I said before, these leaks give ole uncle Axl a great opportunity to really make CD a better album, just on tracklisting, not production.
I like Prostitute (yeah, I said it) but I was hoping that it was going to be the song that was going to fill that huge, desperately needed, heavy rock song, gap in the album. 4 songs left... And Sorry doesn't sound like its going to be that epic hard rock song, so it's pretty much 3 songs left. I'm interested in Seven, but we don't even know if that's still on the album, anymore. We all thought The General was, but now we find out we're not going to see it until we all have a flying car in our garage 
Message to Axl: just give us (leak us) everything you have right now and we'll tell you what the tracklisting should be. You need my e-mail?

Izzy, Duff, Slash, Axl - That's what I care about. A reunion for a tour and a new track on a greatest hits album. That's the most we'll get, I think.
And I think Axl would spite himself and never sing again before abandoning his band for a reunion.

I think if it wasn't Prostitute, it would have come down the GNR pipeline to the mesage boards that indeed it wasn't. And I don't know what everyone else is hearing when I hear him say Prostitute in the chorus, but I can't think of a more perfect word to fit with the "fortune and shame" line.

The thing is guys, if there's a more fucked up person on this planet than Axl its Trent, and in a lot of ways, Trent is worse. He just has no glaring insecurity problems, especially one that prevents him from releasing music, or interefers with his life the way Axl's does.
But Trent goes with how Trent feels, on a moment by moment basis, involving the musicians he surrounds himself with on a given day, week, album or tour. Robin's position/future in NIN's isn't something that he has say over, it's how Trent feels... Today. So it really has nothing to do with staying with NIN, because that's not very likely, it's more with what's wrong inside GNR that made him leave.
I just don't think Robin will ever be a fullfledged member of NIN, definitely not with the creative sway he had in GNR. Which asks an even bigger qestion on the state of GNR. That's my opinion anyway.

I think we'd still be following to some extent, but if there were no leaks, there would be very very very...very few of us still interested.
Man, we're talking about 6 years with just boots of 2002, and if they did tour in 06, we still wouldn't have heard IRS, TWAT or BETTER, just the same songs. Plus, in that time with losing Buckethead it really would have hurt the morale. That TWAT solo did wonders for the BH fans and kept them interested.

Axl actually has a pretty good opportunity to guage the reaction to the album and perhaps add some things to or change up the tracklisting.
I seriously don't think he can afford to take this back to the studio and continue working on it.

Remember mad, its the same excuse for Oh My God that he gave for that 2001 tour that didn't happen. People were doing things, making decisions without his consent... This is Axl, no one is doing shit without his consent.
Surprise. Everything that goes wrong or doesn't work is totally NOT Axl's fault. He might be the only perfect human being walking the planet.
His book will be 600 pages of how everyone shits on him, persecutes him and victimizes him.

I can say that I love all the leaks. If The World is the only one I'm not crazy about, but it's still pretty good. The only thing I'd like to see is a little more variety on the album, and with only four songs left that we haven't heard I don't know if they will be any different than the hyper ballads we've heard so far, or if they'll be able to spice up the flow.
I'm still hoping Seven and Sorry deliver big on the heavyness.
