I have to disagree with you there. I agree it won't happen, but Chris is more apt to write Yesterdays than My Wave today. Chris' songwriting has completely changed as wel. It's much more formulated and structured than it used to. Plus, he's not writing anything close to what he did in his Soundgarden days. And a lot of ways, he's not the same person.

I never would have thought in a million years I would see Chris Cornell making an album with Timbaland, but he is. Or that he would make a "light adult contemparary" album, which is what his last solo record was, but he did. Also, if you compare No Such Thing, it is very similar to Slither. So at this point I think it would have less to do with musical styles than it would with the business end.

When I meant the guitar parts I meant the structure of the songs, Like I Am The Highway and Like A Stone for example. Rick Rubin said he had to teach them how to play soft ballads because they didn't know how.

If Andy Wallace is the mixer that could be what they're talking about. Sometimes his
mixing sounds fuzzy. He's more of a raw rock producer, which struck me as odd as
why something so well produced and pristine as the demos production quality (which
is awesome, btw) that Axl would choose Andy to mix it.

Not to sure about it being the vocals since they're using protools on the vocals, according
to Axl. Which any problem would be taken care of very easily.

The thing with Chris is he's not going to hang with the band. And he DOES NOT want to
evenly share any money on royalties with songs he's written. See, not only does he
write all the lyrics he also writes the music (he's a fantastic guitarist and bassist) and
that was the main probem with Audioslave. He had to split the money evenly with the
other guys even though he did the majority of the work.

He will not be part of a band, but I could see him doing one record with them, if that's
how they want to go. They'd have to pay him and give him total control, though.

If there ever is a reunion it will probably be a tour and a DVD if we're lucky. I don't see more than a few songs on a soundtrack or extras on another Greatest Hits compilation or box set. That's about it.

You don't understand. When you look at a picture expecting to be
turned on and you find a picture of a half naked dude, it's kind of
like a shock to the system. In that frame of mind, there's a strong
possibility of turning a little gay for a few moments. So thanks a lot.

Has anyone got any actual proof of a BH/Robin feud?

Isn't it possible that BH left due to the fact that he wanted to actually produce and release material?

I'm pretty sure it was something Axl said in one of his interviews. I could be wrong but it might have been while Bucket was still in the band and he was explaining why Robin left the first time, because he didn't get along with Bucket. It's been so long since I read it I could be wrong.

Thing is, Robin complimented Buckethead very well. sad

Now that's the reunion I want, damn it! I want to party like its 2002 baby... 16

Except with 2006 Axl vocals.

Since I posted this at the other place, figured it was too good to just sit around there wink

Some dudes are better off not being in a band together. I like that statement a whole lot better than his previous statements.

I really think the very best thing for VR to do is to not hire a lead singer and have a different big name singer on each album. I think artistically it will be fantastic for everyone involved. The possibilities are endless. If they really want Chris Cornell, who I think is who they really wanted in the first place and kind of settled for Scott (no disrespect meant), that's the only way he'll be a part of it. Because he has stated firmly that he will never be in a band again.

If they just hire some no name to come in its going to be a very difficult road, because he's not going to have that swagger or self assurance, or even the presence an established rock star is going to have, and that's what these guys need. If they choose to go the no name route they're going to end up like The Panic Channel.. ugghhh.

Plus, I really and truly believe the effect Axl had on these guys is too much for someone else to come in and try to take his place. Because that's what they'll be doing. I think Axl was so much a part of them musically that it went much deeper than just a bandmate or lead singer. It's going to take someone to take the place of Axl, not Scott, and there really is no one who can be another Axl. Not saying they can't go on without him or be very successful doing so, but Axl is always going to be a part of Slash and Duff, almost like a ghost haunting them, that it's going to be next to impossible to ever move on for them, especially being in the same band together. That's just my opinion, anyway.

Dude, I started the remake boycott after The Fog remake.

I have to say I am interested in the Hellraiser and Poltergeist remakes, though.
