Inglorious Basterds - Pretty damn good imo. Well worth watching. Considering he's the lead actor Brad Pitt was in it less than I expected, Christoph Waltz steals the show though, I'd expect all sorts of nominations for his performance. Some lengthy and at times what feels like pointless dialogue but I guess that's what you get with most Tarantino films. Really enjoyable overall though and a pretty satisfying if unexpected ending.

I actually listened to CD for the first time in about 4 months today. I hadn't seen this thread so it wasn't like I felt prompted to do it, it was pure chance. All the BS and drama and politics and rumour and everything else aside it's a great album, even what I considered 'filler' in January sounded fresh and it was a pleasure to listen to.

Russ works for Sony. If he says this, it may not actually happen, but it's on the table. He wouldn't say something just to say it.
Yeah. I gets mentioned now and again. They're shooting for the last firmware update of the year.
With the Slim rolling out in a few weeks, I think they wanna do extra testing to ensure the software emulation of the Emotion Chipset that was in the PS2 and first gen PS3s will work flawlessly across all PS3 skus so they don't create more problems then it's worth.
Sounds promising, anyway thanks for the info

I was going to ask at my local game store but as a few people on here will probably know the answer I thought I'd ask...If you've got a 40GB PS3 that won't play PS2 games is there any hardware that can be installed (legally preferably) that will make a 40GB PS3 compatible with PS2 games?
#1175 Re: Guns N' Roses » Q&A with Bumblefoot » 873 weeks ago
Don't remember if it was my idea, I think I went backstage and got the 'Foot' guitar said 'I'll go out there and keep it goin'. Either that or they said 'Bumble, take a solo' and I said 'No prob' and got the guitar. Whatever it was... I'm a 'shit or get off the pot' kinda person, either do it or don't. And if you do, you better swing with everything you got or don't bother.
I hope he saw/intended the irony in this statement
Nothing too interesting in the interview, especially from a non guitarists point if view but as always he comes across as a great guy.

Taking of Pelham 123 - Pretty enjoyable, good performances from both Washington and Travolta.

Bruno - Same style as Borat but not as funny, more cringey than anything with some real oh my god moments. Especially the part where you see just how far some parents will go to make their kids famous. Little cameo from Slash at the end too. Decent but not brilliant.

I like it but I think Sheldon props up the show, without him it's nothing special.

i have heard and at least liked every record here... except 2
muse... i haven't heard
and hybrid theory.... which is everything that's been wrong with mainstream rock in the last decade or so... hated it from the moment i heard it.... you wanna know where all the new real rock n roll/ hard rock is? ask linkin fucking park... they helped kill it with this pile of shit....
it may be an unpoular opinion.. and i apologize if i've offended anyone... but to me... LP is a rap/rock boy band... i at least had some respect for limp bizkit when their first record came out... it sounded real and honest... this is sooooooooo manufactured and sterile...i just wish more people saw through the shine..
I can see why you'd feel this way but it's hard for me to agree. Growing up that album along with Limp Bizkit, Blink etc were a big part of my early teen years and it's the same story for a lot of people my age. They aren't necessarily still fans of Linkin Park or LB (I still have a soft spot for Blink) but they are the bands responsible for introducing me and my friends to rock as a genre, nobody stayed with those bands long but they were the stepping stone before we all branched out and broadened our musical horizons. They might not be the best bands of all time but they play a big roll in bringing in new fans to the genre. It's just a shame when you take the leap to find the real quality rock n roll you've got to look to the past rather than to any current bands.
