So what I understand from this is, no one talks to each other in 'Gnr'

The Management don't level with Ron. He's been upfront about this in the past, meaning in between tour legs he's been asked to be on 'stand-by' for months in case new dates show up. Then, everybody scatters to put the tour together.

You can't really plan a life that much ahead with such an arrangement, and it did bite him. Also, the pain he's been subjected to, along with a hard touring itinerary, obviously took a toll on him.

He's been reaching out to the fans, disclosing his situation for the fans to see. The question would be, why? Why not talk to the Management and say he's hurting, he's depressed, he'd rather be home recovering with his family?

Given the kind of person Ron is, the most logical explanation is that he tried talking to those in charge of the tour itinerary / band affairs. Going public would then be fueled by frustration for them doing jack shit about anything.

Regression hits anyone.

The most dangerous band in the world is now (among other things) a cover band playing weddings.

When you look at the lineup pictured in Reckless Road, or, say, Rock in Rio 2, you could never imagine that would become the case.

If that's their intent, I'm taken with the size of their plate. They already take care of Axl pretty much 24/7, on and off tour.

No wonder Tommy's scratching his head over there.

What was the knowledge he was given when he'd thought he'd heard it all in TWAT?

Lots of beautiful, vacant buildings slowly reclaimed by Mother Earth, a worthwhile sight.

You do need that RoboCop statue, tho. smile

UYI.

Ḯ've seen that stuff online (had the very nice Locomotive demo, for one), but lost my copies following a hard disk meltdown.

I would love to see some remixing of UYI one day. Now that would be the tricky thing. I would love to hear a stripped down re-mixed, re-released UYI. Something that removes ALL vocal special effects and voice over garbage, and is just GN'R rocking.

Aussie,

Do you remember the Alan Niven tapes? I recall them being a stripped-down affair, musically a grand display of the band at its peak.

I modestly disagree.

It's relevant in ways of studying propaganda by certain people.

Other than that, that lot's fairly single-minded by dint of authority.
