No, I think they'd choose the RRHOF route. Axl will suggest that it's too corporate and will mention 3 people who don't have a star there and will add that Slash only wrote a couple of key riffs and Tracii Guns was there before him. Then a crazy rambling about stars, the universe, a Street of Dreams quote and a PS with a Game of Thrones mention.
I could totally see that. Axl down playing it as some corporate sell out.

I don't have time to look it up and link to it right now to get specifics, but if you're interested, look into the process people have to go through to get one of these. It's pretty much a joke.

and ps, I know, Axl hasn't done anything either. We got it. This is more Izzy/Slash now.
and pss, I'll take Izzy's first Ju Ju Hounds record over all of Slash's post Gnr work. Shuffle It All Bitches!
I'd take that one a step further and say I'll take that album over everything any member of GNR has done Post-Illusions. Just a flat out great rock n roll record.

Speaking of Izzy. He couldn't be THAT rich could he?
He missed out on huge windfall of UYI tour... they didn't have the greatest contract during Appetite.....
i know song royalties pay but 20 plus years.. etc..
It sounds like the UYI tour wasn't all that profitable. I read at some point (don't remember where) that the reason they added the "Skin N' Bones" leg at the end was as a way to get the tour as a whole into the black.

Because in the end, Axl and Izzy are tighter than Izzy and the rest....that's it. They started the band together, they are old school buddies. It is pretty f'n obvious.
I would say at this point it seems Izzy is tightest with Duff. Duff has played on his last few albums, and it was Duff that Izzy went to to get his statement released.
I think Izzy no showing the hall of fame is no more complicated than "If it's not gonna be everybody what's the point."
Lots of us (myself included) feel differently than that, but I think that's where his head was at.

Anyone notice that Axl does far more UYI II songs than UYI I?
Just curious why...
As far as why not Dust N' Bones,
I thought this was the case, but I just doublechecked it to be sure.
Writing credits on 14 Years is Axl and Izzy and Dust N Bones is Izzy, Duff, and Slash. I'll bet that's why.

Nobody's really talking about the most obvious conspiracy here. Izzy played a song that GN'R used to cover, but they only covered it then because it was on a Gilby solo album. I think this is Axl saying he'd rather be playing with Gilby than Izzy.

I will say this, listen to the 1992 Paris rant before double talkin jive. What would that Axl say about today's Axl? Something tells me it would t be good. Classic rant about Warren Beatty.
Lots of people seem to really like that rant, but I've always hated it.
All he's really saying through the whole thing is, "Fuck that guy who used to fuck the chick who I now fuck".

That song is real soft ass, real poppy. Despite Joe's great guitar contributions, it sounds more like a Tyler-solo track.
Meh, not terrible, but a full bore B-side from the early 90's is VERY obvious.
I didn't dis-like it, but you're right, it sounds like what it is. A song that didn't make the cut for Get A Grip.
Also, I read the other day that the GI Joe movie is getting pushed back to next year because the studio got scared after Battleship flopped. There goes the extra push they were looking for for their lead single.

It actually isn't "Ain't Life Grand", It's "Just Like Anything".
Which answers my first question after I saw it of how did they pull off Ain't Life Grand without horns.
