But from Brain's story, Tommy was the one who ok'd him for the gig...Bucket brought him but Tommy vetted him. Tommy knew Richard as well before Richard joined so I am sure he had some say in that decision.

I'm still convinced this is real and Beltrami claimed "Seven" was the best of the 3 tracks he worked on right? The publications that heard "Atlas Shrugged" and even Mick Wall all claimed it was good too (even if he did have an agenda against Axl). This was all before the album got released.
I don't see how it could be a coincidence that the tracks that got leaked were the ones that ended up on the album. As for the "This I Love" absence, wasn't it claimed that Axl wasn't too found of it re-doing it until other band members approached him?

I don't think regardless of the authentic that "Chinese Democracy" was the album intended to be released. That said, the other tracks probably have the same issues as the ones that were released.
agree...

there was a vision for all of this...you can see it in the 101 documents...

"What I know is it's the record that was able to get through the red tape and get itself out there while helping friends, loved ones and myself along the way."

CD is definitely the "leaks" album.....as Axl said, it was the album that "made it through the red tape"...

The General, Seven, Thyme, and Leave Me Alone aka Soul Monster were all mentioned by Beltrami in 2002. I imagine they will be pretty epic with orchestration etc like TWAT and Prostitute.
As for Prostitute, love it both lyrically and musically. Perfect closer to the album. TWAT, IRS, Madagascar, and Prostitute are probably my favorite songs on the album.

misterID wrote:Frank will probably be the guy.
I highly doubt Frank or anyone else would be on drums. A reunion, with a nu-GnR member, is just getting off to a bad start. And would only be a sign that Axl is being difficult already to put up with. It would just be a slippery slope, if he can't let Matt tour, what next, he'd wanna play some CD stuff but no VR? Be constantly late, cancelled shows??
Refusal to allow a drummer join is just symbolism for larger things to come. Plus Slash & Duff have years with Matt in VR, whatever they're thoughts about him when it ended, time has passed. And after Duff saw Adlers latest, he probably thinks back that Sorums an alright guy to have.
IF no Izzy, it should be Gilby for a "reunion".
No Izzy, no reunion imo.

we have no fucking idea what is going to happen...none.

big money talks Neemo....that kind of money, even for a short tour, would REALLY set Izzy up financially for life. Royalties from the back catalog have to be getting smaller with every passing year. A reunion tour is a guaranteed lottery ticket. He won't pass that up.
