That's cool, looks like about half the rumoured song titles we've been working with over the years are fakes.
Also is it just me that's struggling with the imagery of Axl sat at his comp in his Malibu house answering questions on CD.com?

Hey Axl, just want to say thanks for the music, GNR's helped me through countless tough times and accompanied me through the good as well, so thanks a lot. Awesome show in Manchester 06 btw, it was amazing!
You mentioned the struggle you had getting CD released and all the shit you had to wade through. Does the fact that CD has now been released make it easier for followup albums to be released or will it always be the same fight to get your music out?
A lot was made of the setlist in 06 and how it was Appetite heavy as opposed to including more Illusions material. Was there a specific reason for this or was it just a personal preference from you and the band?

Haha a little but it's not like I blame ya, I'd have been the same, you were talking to Axl Rose, it's not an every day thing. I did laugh at one of your questions though 'Axl what would you consider a true GNR fan?' Lol it would have put the cat among the pigeons if he'd answered that one

that was a fun read. i'm not going to say i'm convinced cause i don't need to be.
but FYI all - out of curiousity i checked users on mygnr and there now seems to be no dexter???! hmm../
He's apparently been made a mod, is that likely to alter things? Just a thought but I don't read mygnr so I don't know.

Cool but was sic paid for this or did they just leach his work? Or is it just a refrence to the forum. If they reprinted he should have been given something IMHO.
You'd have to ask sic but they didn't just leach his hard work without him knowing put it that way

I wasn't there last night but I've read the answers. I see nothing vague or mysterious about it at all. He avoids answering the complicated issues because of the time he needs to reply to them. Vague? This is a forum. Not a book. Answers have to be short, quick and easy enough. He did very well if you ask me.
I thought it honest, fair and straight from the horses mouth.
Axl did the right thing, almost at the right time. Kudos to him for doing something really cool.
I agree, he couldn't have done much more an forum Q +A. His side of the story in the break up and the delay for CD is the last 15 years of his life, no way could he condense that down into a forum length post and I wouldn't expect him to.

Judging by his posts he's at least a semi regular visitor to the sites, so he probably already knows who posts 'shit' about him. It's a strange thought to think you might now post something and have Axl himself call you out on it though

Wow, just when you think things are dieing down. I don't know if this is Axl although it seems like it is (I guess we'll find out with a Better vid in a week or two), then I've got to give him kudos. How long have we said we needed more communication, well this is about as intimate as it could ever get between fans and Axl, fan asks question and Axl answers. I think it was necessary as the whole fanbase was getting ratty regarding the where he was etc so major credit to the guy for coming out and talking to us.
It still doesn't quite explain why he's not out there promoting the thing, but whatever, that's clearly his choice and if he's just glad the albums out and isn't too fussed about how it charts/sells then fair enough.
I can't wait to see this Better video!
