I just thought of another game you should check out Neemo. Its called Kororinpa - Marble Mania. Remember the game marble madness from way back when? Well thats basically what this is. You have a marble that you got to take around all of these maps, and you use the remote to control the world. IE if you tild the controller right at a 90 degree angle, the world flips to a 90 degree angle. Its probably the most addictive game I've played on the wii. But if you have shaky hands, your screwed.

Heres the updated version:
Scott Weiland and Velvet Revolver rocked out in Hollywood last night, and the frontman made a point to remind the crowd that aging rockers are no role models. Uh, Keith Richards?
Weiland, who was recently charged with driving under the influence of drugs, went on an on-stage rant about not believing everything you hear, and reminding everyone that VR is not the "Mormon Tabernacle F**king Choir." Ya think?
A source backstage at the show tells TMZ, "Scott looked out of it ... he kept away from the rest of the band and didn't take any pictures."
Weiland was set to face a judge this morning in criminal court for his most recent DUI bust, but the case was continued until January 17.

PS2 Still Most Popular Console
Other systems aren't being played as much as Sony's seven-year-old beast.
by Daemon Hatfield
December 12, 2007 - The Nielsen Company has released several top ten lists for 2007 that reveal a variety of consumer trends related to media and technology. Among them is Videogame Console Usage from April to November that shows the PlayStation 2 is still enjoying the most use among consoles.
Nielsen measured the total amount of minutes its participants spent playing videogames, then divided those minutes between all current- and last-gen consoles. The PS2 obliterated the competition, claiming over 42 percent of all usage time. For each of the big three platforms, their last-gen predecessors saw more use than current systems. Here's how each console ranked:
Videogame Console Usage (April-November 2007)
1. PS2 - 42.2% of usage minutes
2. Xbox - 13.9
3. Xbox 360 - 11.8
4. GameCube - 7.1
5. Wii - 5.5
6. PS3 - 2.5
7. Other - 17.1
"Other" consists of any other console found in the home.
The data suggests that while the Wii has seen brisk sales this year, many of its purchasers don't play the console as often as those who bought a 360. It is also interesting to note the "other" category saw more use than the PS3, Wii, and GameCube combined.
Nielsen also revealed that Fresh Bread was the most popular consumer packaged good in 2007.

#1485 Re: The Garden » Mars rover finds signs of microbial life » 916 weeks ago
Nasa says its Mars rover Spirit has discovered "the best evidence yet" of a past habitable environment on the planet's surface.
Spirit has been exploring a plateau called Home Plate, where it discovered silica-rich soil in May.
Researchers are now trying to determine what produced the patch of nearly pure silica - the main ingredient of window glass.
They believe the deposits came from an ancient hot-spring environment or an environment called a fumarole, in which acidic steam rises through cracks.
On Earth, both of these types of settings teem with microbial life, said rover chief scientist Steve Squyres.
"Whichever of those conditions produced it, this concentration of silica is probably the most significant discovery by Spirit for revealing a habitable niche that existed on Mars in the past," he said.
"The evidence is pointing most strongly toward fumarolic conditions, like you might see in Hawaii and in Iceland.
"Compared with deposits formed at hot springs, we know less about how well fumarolic deposits can preserve microbial fossils. That's something needing more study here on Earth."
Spirit and its twin rover Opportunity have remained on Mars for much longer than originally planned.
Their mission has been extended five times since they landed on opposite sides of the planet in January 2004.
But the rovers faced their biggest challenge yet this summer, when a series of dust devils blanketed their solar panels and limited their movement.
Winds managed to clean off Opportunity, but Spirit is still covered in gunk and working at 42 per cent capacity.
Scientists said Spirit was now facing a face against time to reach a resting spot for winter.
"Spirit is going into the winter with much more dust on its solar panels than in previous years," said Nasa's John Callas, project manager for the rovers.
"The last Martian winter, we didn't move Spirit for about seven months. This time, the rover is likely to be stationary longer and with significantly lower available energy each Martian day."
Whenever I hear about this sort of stuff it reminds me of Michael Crichton's "The Andromeda Strain"...and it scares the shit out of me.
Anyone here ever read it? Its about a satellite that comes back down to earth carrying microscopic organisms (ie diseases) from space. Needless to say it causes alot of problems with disease.

I agree with you. Theres no reason for a head coach to resign mid-season unless something very serious happened. Hell they are 3-10, their season will be over in a few short weeks anyways. Someone (or something) must have really pissed in his Wheaties for it to go down like this.

Petrino resigns as coach of Falcons
Immediate speculation he quit to take college job, possibly Arkansas
The Associated Press
updated 6:21 p.m. ET, Tues., Dec. 11, 2007
ATLANTA - Bobby Petrino resigned as Atlanta Falcons coach on Tuesday, having lasted only 13 games with the NFL team. A person within the league told The Associated Press that Petrino quit to return to the college ranks at Arkansas.
He left Louisville in January to become Atlanta's coach for a five-year, $24 million contract, largely because the Falcons felt he could help star quarterback Michael Vick reach his full potential.
A few months later, Vick came under investigation for a grisly dogfighting operation that eventually led him to plead guilty to federal charges. He was sentenced Monday to 23 months in prison without ever taking a snap for Petrino.
A source familiar with Patrino's decision, speaking on condition of anonymity because the school had not made an official announcement, said he was going to Arkansas. The Razorbacks have been looking for a coach for two weeks to replace Houston Nutt, who resigned after a tumultuous season and took the Mississippi job.
The school had no immediate comment on its coaching search.
The Falcons declined further comment beyond a terse, two-paragraph statement released Tuesday night. Owner Arthur Blank and general manager Rich McKay were scheduled to hold a news conference Wednesday.
There was no immediate word who would take over as head coach for the final three games, though defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer and offensive coordinator Hue Jackson would be the most logical candidates.
Petrino did not answer his cell phone or a call placed to his Atlanta-area home. His brother, Falcons receivers coach Paul Petrino, declined comment when reached on his cell phone.
'I don't think I can say anything about it right now,' he said. 'I'm sorry.'
After losing Vick, Petrino tried three starting quarterbacks without success. The Falcons are 3-10 and assured of the 32nd losing season in their 42-year history.
The resignation of Petrino was another jarring blow to the Falcons, who dealt with Vick's legal troubles since the first day of training camp, when a plane flew overhead pulling a sign that said: 'New team name? Dog Killers?'
Petrino assembled one of college football's highest-scoring offenses at Louisville, but the Falcons were anemic without Vick. They also were plagued by injuries on the offensive line, which forced them to start two players who weren't even drafted out of college.
Just hours after Vick's sentencing in Richmond, Va., Atlanta took its fourth straight double-digit loss, 34-14 to the New Orleans Saints.
'Not a good day,' Petrino said afterward.
The resignation had to be a major surprise to Blank, who fired Jim Mora just two seasons after he led the Falcons to the NFC championship game, and lured Petrino with a lucrative contract.
Before Monday's game, Blank said he felt better than ever about his decision to hire Petrino given all the adversity the team faced this season.
'I feel real fortunate we have a terrific guy leading our team, our CEO, in Bobby Petrino,' Blank said. 'I think he's proven to me he's a better head coach than we thought he was going to be, dealing with a set of cards we didn't see unfold this year, which probably never in the history of the NFL has anything like this happened. Bobby has done a wonderful job dealing with all of these issues. He's kept the players focused.'
But there were signs of dissension, especially in the way Petrino dealt with his players.
He ran the team with an aloof style, feeling no reason to share his decisions on personnel with the affected players. He could walk through the locker room without speaking to anyone and was openly criticized by two of the team's stars, Pro Bowlers Alge Crumpler and DeAngelo Hall.
Petrino drew the ire of the veterans with his decision to cut nose tackle Grady Jackson, one of the team's most productive defensive linemen, during the bye week. Quarterback Joey Harrington was clearly perturbed a few weeks ago when, after leading the Falcons to two straight wins, he heard from the media that Petrino still considered injury prone Byron Leftwich the starter.
Against the Saints, the Falcons made another change at the most crucial offensive position, giving Chris Redman his first start since 2002. While Redman threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns, the Falcons lost again.
They have been outscored by an average of 18.5 points in their last four defeats.
After the latest loss, Petrino sounded as though he was still committed to getting the Falcons turned around.
'We'll come back on Wednesday to take a look at it, and then we'll get back to work,' he said. 'We have to find something to rally around.'
But clearly, Petrino already had decided to abandon the sinking ship.

#1489 Re: The Garden » "Chinese Democracy" Website Hacked...? » 917 weeks ago
They are apparently having problems like we did recently. this is from sladdi's page:
Dear forum members,
Unlike Oasis, we could not find a way...
As you have noticed, the forum you knew as ChineseDemocracy.com has been down for the past couple of days. It is now again reachable under NewGNR.com/forum. The reason for this is that your admins, BP and Sladdi, have parted ways. Unfortunately, the parting of ways was not an amicable one.
As the forum really belongs to you, its users, I feel that you deserve an explanation of what happened. This is the story as told by me, Sladdi. There may be other sides of the story, which I encourage you to listen to, and to then make up your own mind.
* BP and myself both have owned GN'R fansites for a long time, gunsnroses.us and NewGNR.com.
* BP and I both owned forums for our websites from around 2001. In addition, we both were members on the forum that was owned by soemeone else on ChineseDemocracy.com. Later on, I also became a moderator there.
* In 2003, we decided to join forces, and merged the NewGNR.com (~5000 users) and gunsnroses.us (~1000 users) forums to NewGNR.com/bbs. In early 2004, BP bought the ChineseDemocracy.com domain name for a bargain through eBay to use it for our forum.
* We both do the pages and forums in our free time, and on our own money. Running a page/forum that gets as much traffic as ours does cost a lot of time, and money. So you might not have been surprised when we started having ads on our forum in 2006.
* ChineseDemocracy.com, as well as the merger forum before, was hosted on my servers for nearly 5 years. Yet, the ads we showed on the forum were BP's, i.e. all the money went to him, while I paid for the servers. I was fine with it, as at the time, he needed it. And regardless what you are told, the server IS costing me money at certain occassions, and in my current sitaution I consider this serious money.
* It's now two years since we've had the ads. Since then, I have intensified my studies at the University, and paying for the server would become difficult sooner or later. I approached BP last week to ask if we could run my ads for a while on the forum. He has refused to have his ads removed, and he prefered we would part ways and continue with our own forums, so we can both earn. I would also have to hand over a copy of the database (including all posts, users, passwords, ...) to BP, which I originally refuse to do, not only for safety reasons (passwords), but also I wasn't comfortable with the idea that BP would technically be able to just put up a copy of this forum and the database and it's "his new ChineseDemocracy.com" - which would be nothing but unfair.
* To protect the forum, I removed BP's administrative rights, and turned the forum off until we would have sorted things out.
* I noticed that the DNS entry for ChineseDemocracy.com no longer points to my server. Given the timeframe in which it happened, I'm tempted to believe this change was initiated before BP proposed his idea mentioned above.
* Since I invested all the money (and most of the time - creating all forums we have had together, as well as the redesigns in 2004 and 2006 which were entirely Bessam's and my work), I didn't understand why I should hand over the forum to BP, with or without copy for me. I therefore moved it to NewGNR.com/forum, where you'll find it from now on as it used to be. In the meantime, you may have noticed that ChineseDemocracy.com is back with something that looks like the old forum. The only explanation for this is that BP has used confidential database information I passed on to him a while ago.
As many of you know, the relationship between BP and me was more than just net-buddies. BP and blueheart have asked me to be their best man - which was really an honor; I was here when they kinda got together and then to see them marry was truly beautiful. I value the friendship to both of them very highly. I am sad that things went down the way they did, it certainly never was my intention to hurt their (or anyone's) feelings. Eventhough I don't agree on same forums and databases being copied and hosted at different places, I wish them all the best with whatever their plans for ChineseDemocracy.com might be.
Sincerely yours,
Sladdi

I dunno... the powers that be had it in maintenance mode yesterday.
