Axl's voice isn't nearly as bad live, and the crowd was very much into it. Well worth the 400 bucks I dropped on two tickets.

Oh. My. Fucking. God.

Really?

...and we wonder why the fucking guy isn't  motivated to change the set list or release new music. As long as people are still willing to shell out $200 a head to see the tribute act, why the fuck should he?

God DAMN... Every trailer I see for MOS gives me legit goose bumps. I WILL... Without question be attending a midnight release. Chris Nolan producing? The director of Watchmen? I'm fucking sooooo excited for this flick. Everyone I know considers me "The Batman Guy".. Well, Superman runs waaaay deeper, there just hasn't been a whole helluva lot to get excited about for quite some time.

As far as that doc? That's got me just as excited. I remember hearing about the Tim Burton/Nic Cage Supes movie through the grapevine years ago and was super stoked for that as well, only... It never happened. I hadn't really scoured the internet like this dude... I didn't realize there was all that shit available.... A screenplay by Kev Smith? big_smile Concept art? Jesus.. It's gonna be a good year.

I kinda dug their first record.... It's all relative, I suppose... To me, they just reek of that Disturbed, "Pantera Lite" bullshit.... They're still waaaay better than Hellyeah. Ha.

I've been checking out some youtube clips of Chester singing the old STP tracks live at the KROQ gig, and even if you don't like this new song, he fuckin nails the old tracks.

He sure does... and that new song is growing on me. So much old school STP energy.

It's like a lost Purple/ No.4 song. Aces.

Dude.. I hate Chester/ Linkin Park... That shit wasn't too shabby. He pulls off Scott better than Scott does these days... You know? Back when Scott at least sounded like he was in the possession of a pair of testicles?

I'd listen to that record. ... Even though I stand by my original statement months ago that they should have called it a fucking day after "Thank You".

While there is a noticeable difference on the old AiC shit live... I think DuVall does an amazing job of recreating what Layne would have sounded like on new songs... especially live:

annnd.. I realize he's not Layne... But the kid does it right.

Great stuff, kids... I loved Black Ribbons... The last record was kinda meh for me... That stuff sounds amazing.
