I'd personally be more interested in seeing the VMA rehearsal footage than say the HOB show, but that's just me. Hey, maybe it's the HOB show that's going to leak 16 ?

Whatever it is I'm intruiged to say the least.

I got Metal Gear Solid 4 the other day and it's absolutley awesome. It's the best next gen game so far imo, it looks sensational, it plays brilliantly the story so far is great and not ridiculously complicated which MGS2 was guilty of. If anything I can imagine hardcore MGS fans might not like it as much simply because it relies less on stealth than the other games, it's a lot easier to fight 4 or 5 enemy soldiers and win the battle than it was in MGS or MGS2, therefore sneaking around doesn't feel quite as essential. Not sure how far in I am, it feels like I've been playing for hours and I've only just defeated the first proper boss.

Anybody else got this game? If not I recommend you buy it.

Wow, Great Britain's already won 3 medals, that's normally more than we win over the whole course of an olympic games.

I really loved this track when we first heard it, I thought it was one of the best new tracks from the CD era. A few months down the line I'm less impressed by it, I haven't listened to it in a while and I don't really have the urge to either (same goes for all the leaks actually, I'm taking a break from them). Having said that I still think it's the best of the 3 new tracks we heard, it just got stale for me a lot quicker than Better, TWAT etc did.

Good interview from Ron, it'll be good to hear him on rythm, I wonder where that leaves Fortus and Huge?

#1506 Re: The Sunset Strip » The BATMAN Thread » 927 weeks ago

Went to see this again last night, the cinema was still packed 2 weeks after release, I ended up in crappy seats near the front but it wasn't so bad. It was still as good on second viewing if not better, the films less disorientating a secodn time and it allows you to notice things you'd missed first time round.

After a second watch I'm pretty sure Dent is dead, whether that was always the plan or Nolan's deliberately leading us down the wrong path and he's really alive I don't know, if it's the latter then it's poorly done because Dent is stone cold dead at the end of that film he's not breathing at all and the way Gordona and Batman are talking about him they clearly think he's dead.

I thought Libertad was better than Contraband, it just lacked hit singles. Contraband had 2 maybe 3 on it, Libertad had none (1 if you include Messages) but I thought overall was a better album track for track. Still a dissapointment though.

He's right about Oceans 12, Oceans 11 is pretty good to be fair, but 12 is a disgrace from start to finish,

But that doesn't make it "overrated", that just makes it a BAD movie. I don't recall 1 review stating Oceans 12 was great, or even pretty good.

That's a good point, I'd forgotten they were meant to be overrated 16 I guess it got hyped upon release due to the success of the first film and the cast involved but after it's release it got panned by everyone so you're right it definitely isn't overrated.

I still want to see The Departed, that's the first bad thing I've heard about it.

He's right about Oceans 12, Oceans 11 is pretty good to be fair, but 12 is a disgrace from start to finish, Julia Roberts as a character called Tess who pretends to be Julia Roberts because they look alike is just laughable. I didn't think 13 was too bad though, somewhere between 11 and 12 and much closer to 11 in terms of plot etc.

If that's what they do then it's a plausable story and I could see it happening.

Only problem is they gave every impression that he was dead after the fall, I know they never said he was dead (at least I don't think they did) but the way Batman turned his face back to over to the Dent side and stuff it just appeared as though they were talking about him as if he was dead.
