How could Dent die and Two Face be alive? They were the same person. The fall either killed Dent/Two Face or it didn't but you can't have it killing Dent and not Two Face it makes no sense.

The trouble with Riddler is he is similar to Joker in many ways which could appear a cheap way of continuing the Joker story except just swapping the villain. I'd still love to see Riddler done by Nolan though, it would be awesome. The other thing is, if they do go with Riddler or Penguin it's just going to look like they are recycling the older franchises villains. Trouble is all the best villains got used in the older franchise, not only that but with this more 'realistic' Nolan franchise only certain villains would fit in with the films, the more outrageous cartoony villains wouldn't work, which only leaves Nolan with a limited number of villains to use and the best one's have been used once over.

Finally saw this film at the weekend. I loved it.

Sounding like a broken record but Ledger was simply awesome, he stole the show for me, every scene he was in was a highlight. I don't care if he gets nominated for an oscar or not if I'm honest, this performance was special and everyone in the theatre knew it. I always liked Nicholsons Joker but this is just light years ahead, it's not even comparable really.

Bale was good again, much less of him as Wayne in this film but that's to be expected.

As for Maggie, I don't really care. Quite what she brought to the table that Holmes didn't I'm not sure. She delivered her lines, much like Holmes did and it stops about there. Not to sound shallow and eager to get pretty faces on the big screen but it's just not believable that Bruce Wayne handsome billionaire and Dent handsome DA of Gotham would both fall for Maggie's Rachel, they could literally have the pick of any woman in the city and they both go for Maggie? C'mon.

All the other supporting cast were good, Oldman especially.

I was surprised to see Dent/Two Face be killed as I'd heard he was set for the next film but obviously not. Having said that maybe he's not dead, Batman took the same fall and got up after having already been shot, yet Dent died. I know falling isn't an exact science so realistically it's possible but in film terms it lacked a bit of continuity. Whilst we're on that, how come Batman killed Dent, they made such a thing about him not killing Joker then in the next scene he throws Dent off a building?

A slight complaint is that whilst I didn't mind the length of the film it still felt a bit rushed at times, I think they were guilty of maybe trying to get a bit too much in one film. Couple that with some very quick yet important scenes, in which you've barely had time to take in what you've seen before it's over and onto another plotline, and the tale they wove (which was very good) became pretty blurry at times. I think it either needed to be a bit less complex and busy or be longer and slow the pace slightly.

As for where to take the franchise, I would understand if they chose to end it there standing alone as the best Batman and superhero film ever. The way it ended had a form of closure so that it could be left alone. I hope they don't though, even if the death of Ledger has left things very much up in the air. Had he been alive there wouldn't even be a question about if they'd do another, as it is people are suggesting the Joker be retired now Ledgers gone, which whilst I understand the sentiment, Joker isn't Ledgers character and shouldn't die with him, and nor should the franchise. Begins was a good movie without Ledger, they may never top TDK, but if they can put out films of BB's quality you still won't get many complaints. Not only that but there's a couple of villains that could be amazing if brought to life by Nolan and co. The Riddler especially could be awesome. The way TDK ended there's definitely scope for a film or two with Joker in some high security assylum or something and it not be an issue that he's not in it.

Russel Brand's pretty funny, it should be a decent show with him hosting it. I'm reading his book at the moment and it's hilarious. I used to hate the guy but he really grows on you and his stand up is great.

OFFICIAL: That Shackler's Revenge video is a total fake.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So there has been a lot of chatter about that Shackler's Revenge video of some red-headed dude talking about it and saying he works for Harmonix. He doesn't.

"But Sean, yes he does... that is clearly Ryan Lesser of Harmonix who has been there ten years."

Nope. Ryan wasn't at E3 this year and frankly has a much larger, stately beard (also he would never wear that shirt).

That dude in that video was just some tool pretending to be one of us and the poster of the video is an irresponsible waste of space who I will work diligently to make sure never gets credentials to anything ever again (and yes, I have a pretty good idea whom it was... I appear at one of the tables at the beginning of the video).

Do I actually care what some dude whom has no idea what is going on but is a fairly good liar says on Youtube? No. I just never want anyone to think that any HMX employee could ever be so monumetally stupid as this faker was.

Yes, I'm angry. It sucks to be in a situation where some guy pretends to be us and then says a bunch of untruths just for his moment on camera. I hope this clarifies the situation and sets the record straight.

Playing with Fergie isn't very rock n roll I admit, however if she asked me to join her onstage I'd be up there like a fucking greyhound tongue

Slash sounded awesome on this.

I've always thought the new material stands somewhere in the middle of the UYI material. The best of the UYI albums is better than the CD songs but most of the CD songs are better than the worst 7-8 tracks on UYI. If you were to make one best of UYI album ie the best 13-15 tracks on UYI, a couple of the CD tracks would get on imo but probably only 2/3 of them (I appreciate CD songs are not UYI tracks but I'm talking purely in terms of comparing quality).

CD but it was tough, I nearly went with Better but I think it's slightly stronger than CD.
