well, according to all ex gnr members....very unsuccessfully....thus making them all pack their bags....and also, that excuse about him not liking to tour....i think its hogwash....i wouldn't be surprised if the reason he "left" was due to similar comments that Slash and co were throwing about him....perhaps BH, Robin and Tommy couldn't work with him either?

with all due respect, the 02 lineup, although better creatively, was a lot sloppier and nowhere near as tight live as the 06 line up....and when that happens, its usually something in the rhythm section which gives way...

not accusing...just a thought...

The rhythm section was the same in 02 as in 06, did you mean 01 and 06? I certainly think replacing Huge with Fortus was an improvement in terms of ability, it's all opinion of course but Forus beats Huge hands down imo, playing ability, stage presence the whole package.

Slash is certainly pretty scathing of Huge's talents in his book, and apparently so were the other members, Slash says they all found him impossible to gel with and he just wasn't up to the job. You could argue Slash is still bitter at Huge for the STFD stuff but I think by now he's recognised that was Axl's doing and Huge just did as asked.

If The World. If it was up to me track 2 would make it to the top 3 or 4, how anyone can prefer ITW over it is beyond me.

I voted If The World, I can't understand all the song 2 hate!

Rhiad, doesn't do anything for me. A few cool moments, but that's it.

I saw Wanted in theaters yesterday.

It was really over the top.  The film tries way too hard to look really badass, but the really geeky lead actor makes it really hard to believe.

I saw it yesterday too, I enjoyed it though. I know what you mean about being OTT but I think that was the point. The twist disappointed me though, I thought they could have taken it in a more interesting direction than they went in.

Say what you like, Angeline Jolie is fucking hot 11

Nah F that.  I had my ipod with me so I just closed my eyes and turned up the volume of the music.  I did not want to see or hear anything.  I would have flipped if I'd have heard the nail crunching or something...

I just changed the bandage though, and it doesnt look that bad.  I really thought that since they had to do both sides, I would only have like a little mohawk or something.  But it hardly looks like he even cut anything off.

Yeah your nails just look normal after the operation, you'd never know you'd had it done.

I've had the same thing done on both my big toes. The pain will be gone within the week 22

I found the most painful part the anaesthetic, I had one side of my toe done and over the course of the week the other side went bad and infected when I took the bandage off for the first operation the other side of my toe was completely infected, the whole side of my toe was yellow, so back I went to the doc. He put in the anaesthetic and waited a few minutes before beginning the procedure except I could feel everything, apparently the infection alters or prevents the anaesthetic working properly. It took 6 injections of local anaesthetic in one side of my toe before it was numb(ish), I could still feel it but it was distant sort of pain so I told him to just get on with the op 16 Felt great once he'd cut the nail out though.

Did you watch the doc cut the nails out Tommie? I tried but it's fucking brutal how they do it and I felt queezy so I turned away lol.

#1558 Re: Guns N' Roses » Time Magazine considers the leaks Chinese Democracy » 933 weeks ago

This has made it to Sky news? Not long ago people were saying the media wouldn't bat an eyelid when this thing gets released. 9 unreleased 'demos' make it on the net, 4 of which have been available in various forms for over 7 years, and it makes tv news shows and into Time magazine!

#1559 Re: Guns N' Roses » Time Magazine considers the leaks Chinese Democracy » 933 weeks ago

Whether Time review the real thing or not that's a pretty good review and will send people the world over to p2p sites. I too think when the album gets released it'll be reviewed again, magazines don't like to miss a slice of hype, if there's buzz around the CD release they'll make sure they include an article or review on it.

If all these 9 tracks were set for the album I think GNR's at least got to change a few of those now. If it's a 13 track album there's still 4 unheard, if 3 of the 9 we know are dropped and put on albums 2 or 3 and 3 songs lifted from those albums and put on CD you've then got over half of CD unheard again.

Yeah, I don't really get the point of calling this material demos anymore.

Because they sound too shitty to be finished products. Listen to the new Pumpkins album, the new Foo Fighters, hell the Illusion albums. Listen to the new  Wilco album or the new Britney Sopears album. Listen to the song hell yeah by Rev Theory. the prduction on these CD songs blows donkey balls(pardon my grade two chirp) in comparison. It's rather amatuerish if you ask me. yeah they sound like polished demos but still demos. Finished products? No way. If so it's embarassing. That long in a  studio and you come up with that? Pathetic.

I tend to agree, I'm no expert on music production or mixing but they don't sound like ready to be released songs should imo. Maybe it's just the mp3 format? The album's supposedly mixed by Andy Wallace, is he going to put his name to material mixed like this? Not likely. Whilst the new material sometimes doesn't show it, GNR's still a guitar band yet the guitars are always too quiet with synth stupidly prominent, I can't believe that's the way Wallace or Axl would want it sounding. Axl might be a fan of synth but he usually does it right, just listen to NR, these productions don't come close to the UYI songs with orchestra and synth etc in them, orchestra and Pitman noise drowns everything else out in these leaks.
