Izzy is the farthest thing there is from eccentric...a completely normal guy who saw a ship sinking and was intelligent enough to get out before it did.

Ive never been a Beatles fan.. Falls into that, They are the greatest because its been repeated over generations and people are too afraid to say otherwise.
That is literally one of the most ignorant comments of all time but then it is par for the course with you. My fuckin God.
Nice insult btw.
it is not being a music snob...they are the most popular, the most influential, the most critically acclaimed, very artistically talented despite what you say as Lennon/McCartney are two of the top 5 songwriters of all time....they write about EVERYTHING...drugs, chicks, day to day life, pop songs, rock songs, experimental stuff, funny stuff. They did it all and the entire PLANET recognizes that. Gnr has done literally a fraction of what the Beatles did. You can like what you like, but the EXTREMELY large portion of the music industry and record buying public would strongly disagree.
The father, son and holy spirit of rock and roll are Elvis, Dylan, and The Beatles....everybody else is a pawn in their game.

plus the fact that Izzy has aged very well which shows that he is living a happy, content life. He looks f'n normal whereas the rest definitely are torn and frayed. Duff may be fit but his face is burned out as hell as Slash, Steven, and Axl are....Izzy survived and came out the other side unscathed. Pick another battle ID.

Ain't It Fun is great and my other favorite is Black Leather. I would rather have them on the Illusions instead of LALD and KOHD. Ain't It Fun would fit perfect on II and Black Leather on I...just my opinion.
Ultimately, I would have preferred no covers on the Illusions. Just put LALD and KOHD on SI as it ended up not really being a "punk" album anyway.

I saw 2 UYI shows with Izzy and 6 UYI shows without Izzy...completely different dynamic. Axl was calling all the shots at that point (92-93). The shows were good but they were moving in to hired gun territory already. My cutoff Gnr point was NOVEMBER 91.

Bono wrote:No really when these types of comparisons come up nothing post TSI enters into it for me in terms of who i like better and who i consider to be the greatest frontman ever. Now if we complicate things and enter in a bunch of criteria including longevity and how well a performer has aged then sure Axl's stock falls big time but not when it comes to these classic band showdowns.
I don't even feel TSI deserves to be included. Once Izzy left, that was all she wrote.
yep...tsi is not considered by me either...nor was the illusion tour after Izzy left...87-91

I would take u2, zep, and the beatles over Gnr...hands down. The Beatles is an absolute no brainer. You can semi debate the other two if you only considered which band was the best in their prime. Could Gnr stand up to U2 and Zep in their prime? Yes
ps I consider U2's prime from 87-91, Gnr 87-91, and Zep 69-71.
