Controversial statement re: BBF's recording history. Sorry for splitting hairs but does he have ANY writing credits on any GnR material?

I am interested to hear the vault but I can't find the will to muster anything more than a passing interest. The fun has been drained out of it for me. It was all well & good this stuff going down in '02 - '06 but now it's like enough already what else is there for fun? This is just the same silly shit as went down before, I dunno how more people aren't really bored by it tbh.

Bumble and Richard have no writing credits. But, they played on everything fully recorded during the Chinese Sessions. Bumble said he played on a ton of stuff...as has Richard. No writing credits to date but they were studio musicians.

granted, lyrically it's a bit shitty (one of the few occasions i'll say that about classic era axl) but at least it's kinda fun. musically it's class.

with your other musical tastes, I am suprised you like that song. Maybe the cheesiest song EVER recorded by a monster classic rock band like Gnr. sad

ha, I agree with Live and Let Die and Knockin on Heaven's Door....if they were thinking of some form of covers album they should have saved those for that...they are not my least favorite on the albums but I do skip them.

least..

I think Guns N' Roses were just too damn popular at the time.  I also think as lame as the lyrics are  Axl did manage to explain them even if his explanation was ridiculous.  becaue it doesn't justify the lyrics. Thing is you had the biggest rock band on the planet with arguably the best frontman and guitarist of all time in the same band. A few lyrics weren't gonna derail them.

the sad part about all of it I think is that OIAM is one of their very best songs and in my opinion one of Slash's best solos and it IS Axl's best vocal performance. had Axl pulled his head out of his ass and wrote some proper lyrics the song coudl've beena  big hit on radio and would likely be a classic rock main stay today. he didn't even need to chaneg the message of the song all he had to do was word it better.  Still one of their best songs too bad it borders on hate speech

I love everything about the song but you make a very good point. There was no need to go that far and it is suprising that David Geffen (a gay man I believe) would let that out.

Yes, he should have taken the time to come up with a different way of expressing his point. Good Post Macphisto.
