This is going to be a little off topic, but do we really need the (not alive) part in the headline?

Ugh.... I dont know why, but I just cant watch those gory movies anymore. I find myself squirming in my seat and just not enjoying all the nasty stuff.

I'm not fond of this kind of thing. Yeah its meant to be funny, but it makes a mockery out of the whole thing. Like when Hulk Hogan ran for President and Gary Coleman ran for Governor of California.
The Hogan thing was a complete joke. It was only done b/c Ventura had just gotten in as Governor. As far as Gary Coleman... that was the best election coverage ever! (Not the Coleman part, but Arnold winning). I actually stayed up late that night just to make sure Arnold would win.

NBC overhead camera falls onto field, delays Saints-Seahawks game for 10 minutes

SEATTLE (AP) -Talk about bad omens.
An overhead NBC television camera mounted on wires collapsed onto the turf during a timeout early in Sunday night's game between the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks, almost hitting two Seattle players and causing a 10-minute delay.
The Saints had just called timeout with 11:24 remaining in the first quarter when the camera slumped and then fell a few yards from quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and the rest of the huddling Seahawks. After the camera was righted somewhat off the ground, it fell again - and nearly hit Bobby Engram as the receiver was walking to the sideline.
Game officials then cleared both teams from the middle of the field while the network got the camera back up to normal height. As the camera moved up and down the field for testing, Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren looked up at its every move with his mouth agape. When the camera moved to the sideline, Seattle's players all cleared out from beneath it.
"That's total access right there," Hasselbeck said. "It wasn't our night, I guess."
Guess not. Seattle went on to a 28-17 loss that had the home crowd booing the three-time defending NFC West champions.
"I thought it was going to hit Matt," running back Shaun Alexander said. "You kind of wanted to laugh. But at the same time you were like, 'What else can happen?"'
After a 10-minute delay, the game resumed with the camera parked above the Seahawks bench area - with players and coaches making sure they did not stand under it.
"I'm going to talk to my lawyer and get back to you," Hasselbeck joked.
"I just feel really fortunate it didn't hit me."
Just before the game resumed, referee Jeff Triplette announced: "If any live ball were to touch the wires overhead, there will be a replay of the down, by rule."

I know we all talk about how fucked the music industry is. But this really brings it home for me. Kid Rock's new cd is number one on the billboard charts this week. The album did 163,319 copies. It is the number one album right now with THAT number.
Now to show you how much buying music has declines...
Here are his numbers for all his other mainstream release albums...
First week sales:
History of Rock: 456,000
Cocky: 224,000
Kid Rock: 188,500
Live Trucker: 53,000
Rock'n'Roll Jesus: 163,319
Even with those numbers, this is still his FIRST number one album.

Has anyone here played Madden 08 yet? I rented it for the 360 and jesus christ, I ended up taking it back early. Fumbles, Fumbles, Fumbles. Almost every time I had the ball, I fumbled. Then the icing on the cake was twice in a row, I made it down to the 1 yard line and right as I was about to cross the line, I fumbled. To much frustration for not a good enough game.

The only reality show that I ever watched faithfully was The Ultimate Fighter season 3 with Tito and Shamrock as the different coaches. And that was only because they actually had a fight (pretty good ones too) at the end of each episode.
I've always said that the minute you put someone in front of the camera, it ceases to be "reality". Even if the show isnt scripted, there is no way in hell you will act the same way as you do in the privacy of your own home when there is a camera on you.
