I see where you're coming from. I'm not real passionate about this topic, so I won't argue it. But I will say the guys didn't have the balls to stand up to Axl when it really counted, that's all.
I'm with you, if there's reason Axl hates Slash, it'd be nice to know.
That's what is frustrating to me bigbri, the last few interviews have made it perfectly clear that Axl loathes Slash and does not want to work with him in the near future. However, the reason for this animosity remains unclear to me. When he speaks of Slash and what happened to their relationship, it has always been in vague terms leaving the reader to guess at the ultimate reason for the breakup. In the Billboard interview, he mentioned this:
Give me a fucking break. What's clear is that one of the two of us will die before a reunion and however sad, ugly or unfortunate anyone views it, it is how it is. Those decisions were made a long time ago and reiterated year after year by one man.
There are acts that, once committed between individuals, they are what they are. To add insult to injury almost day after day, lapsing into year after year, for more than a decade, is a nightmare. Anyone putting his own personal entertainment above everything else is sickening.
Can anyone actually guess the source of his rancor because I can't? What decisions/acts is he talking about? The fact that he made the Snakepit album after Axl rejected most of the material? As a fan I have come to terms with the idea that it will be a long time before these guys reunite. If Axl is going to continue to bash Slash in every interview he gives, it would be nice to know the specific reasons for his hate.

same hear. I've never been much into classic gnr boots but I have a feeling I'm fixin to get into them big time. After all I did live on CD boots for years
Classic GNR boots are great. I like the last original GNR show in Argentina since it has a stripped down version of November Rain and a very cool version of Dead Flowers. There's also kick ass versions of Attitude and Dead Horse. I also dig RIR III from Nu Gnr and a December 1988 boot of Tokyo except for Mama Kin which is low quality sound wise not performance.

axl doesn't need slash for anything. slash is an asshole.
What was the basis for the last statement? Do you know him personally or did he do something bad to annoy him? I am just curious as to why you feel the way about the man. I think you said that you're a friend of Del James'. Did he tell you some stories that would cause you to think of Slash as a jerk?

LOS ANGELES – "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" isn't due in theaters until next month, but the prequel has already hacked its way online.
A high-quality, full-length work print of the 20th Century Fox film appeared online Tuesday evening. The studio said it had the file removed, but copies quickly propagated and continue to appear on several file-sharing Web sites.
The movie focuses on the beginnings of Hugh Jackman's clawed Marvel superhero Wolverine and is set for a May 1 release.
Fox vowed in a statement Wednesday that the source of the "stolen, incomplete and early version" of the movie would be prosecuted and said the FBI and MPAA are investigating. The studio also insisted that the version of the film posted online was "was without many effects, had missing and unedited scenes and temporary sound and music."

I usually like to go to the theater to watch major films for the ambience factor but this one could be interesting to watch if only to compare with the finished product.
Oh yeah, watch out for those fake torrents the MPAA likes to plant. They tried to plant a fake copy of Ice Age 3 last week.:flame:

Others rumored are Jack White, Alice Cooper, Lenny Kravitz and Steven Tyler... If he has all those guys on the album I don't see how it can't outsell CD.
I could definitely see the Cooper thing since Slash has been on his albums before. I'm kind of pumped on the Tyler as long as they do a sleazy rock song. I just hope Steven Tyler doesn't bring in an outside writer(Desmond Child etc.) to write the lyrics though. Honestly, the only guy I've heard rumored that bugged me was Fred Durst and that's probably because I loathe Limp Bizkit.
Actually, I'm kind of interested as to whether or not Slash will be taking the lead vocals on any of the new songs. I kind of liked his voice on Sentimental Movie.
