Haha. This convo between James and ID is funny. The new girl on keys is cute. Why she is needed I have no fucking clue. Atleast we are down to two guitar players.
With Slash, no need for a third guitar player.
The second keyboardist is for the sound effects and programming, which was used heavily on the CD stuff. Also, it serves to replicate with one person, what Teddy Zig Zag and the horns section used to do during the UYI tour.

the whole thinking about playing VR is, if Axl is making Slash and Duff play CD songs then maybe they would want to play a couple of VR songs or even give them one solo song each.
The difference is, the CD songs are part of the GnR catalogue. Not everyone likes that fact, but..
I think some of Slash's solo songs from his more recent stuff would suit Axl better than the VR songs.. at least as they were written with Scott's influence. I think if Axl had been given the melody/music for a song like Fall to Pieces (which he claims happened at one point), the song would have come out completely different.

My outrageous prediction: GnR does a co-headline tour in 2017 or 2018 with NIN, and Robin Finck makes some guest appearances for Better or SOD.

For the 30th Anniversary of AFD, the AFD 5 do 1 or 2 shows. This will be when you see Izzy and Adler. Never again after that.

If everyone is able, I think this is possible. However, I always had the impression that Izzy was free to come and go as he pleased for the last 10 years.. so I can't imagine Axl ever closing the door to having his old pal Izzy involved.
True, he isn't now. If I was speculating, its a business thing. Once this first tour wraps up, the novelty of Axl and Slash isn't going to bring in as much money as it did the first go around in 2016... which is when the AFD 5 card makes more sense at a later time.

I'm not sure most of them work for Axl's style. It'd be like Axl covering STP. They'd probably have to be changed around.
Admittingly, I'd be curious to see it.

Agreed. The WTTJ intro was a bit shaky, but from the short clips that are going around, sound good to me. I've always liked Frank's swing.

Why would they ditch Pitman and replace him with this girl? (Not that I care, just wondering.)
He made some outbursts on social media over the last few months towards the band's management and mygnr.com.. that is my best guess.

A set full of rockers, appropriate for the Troubadour.
Cool that they left November Rain for Vegas. I loved Robin's solo in that song, but will be amazing to hear Slash play them again.

Looks like Pitman did get the boot.. maybe has a result of his stupidity on social media, insulting the band and its fans.
Or maybe Slash bitched because him and duff never even wanted one keyboard player, let alone two.. so Axl made that concession.
