Not debuting anything at Glastonbury seems like a missed opportunity for international media coverage. It is such an important, historic festival. It could have created a much-needed buzz for the North American tour.

Glastonbury is a total lottery when it comes to tickets. People won't know who the headliner will be when they 'apply' for tickets.
So I think a new song will have less impact at Glastonbury. As will 'deep cuts' such as COMA
They will have to bring their a-game though, if Axl can do rasp this is the time to turn it on. Also limit covers outside of LALD and KOHD.

Save the new song for Hyde Park, which selfishly I will get to enjoy with a beer in my hand in the gold circle!

Enthusiasm is infectious. People want to hear about your passion. I agree about the vids.

I'd rather he stay still and sing well. Case in point 'Better' at Download (I think 2008). Amazing

How the fuck have GNR gone from playing with bands like NIN, Faith No More, Metallica, Skid Row etc to fucking Carrie Underwood and The Pretenders. I mean I know we ain't exactly young  any more but wtf?

Rock is pretty much dead. There aren't any new rock bands on the way up the ladder like the old days who could get a bump opening for GNR.

That leaves older bands like The Pretenders, The Cult, etc or going a bit outside the box with someone like Carrie.

If these shows don't start selling, next US tour will probably be with a co-headliner like the Crue/Leppard/Poison tour.

The Cult would work, at least they are more hard rock. If you wanna be more out of the box and from 80's try Duran Duran.

And look how easy it is to generate PR when you mix things up!

Hopefully they don't do that annoying thing where they leave them on the set lists but never play them!

Thyme was an instrumental on Rough Mixes disc 4. Also, the instrumental PRL, which Axl said was going to be the namesake of CD II in a 2001 interview, was listed on disc 2 as "without Thyme", so they are probably are connected somehow.

Thanks, I thought I couldn't remember anything.

IF it is true nice to know that there's songs with vocals still in the bag so to speak

If I was Tb I wouldn't even bother with physical media if they plan to release. Save it for an album
