Hah! Vindication. I mean, I didn't expect it to be Silkworms, but still.

Odd choice eh, haha, but hey ho, it sounds ok, and something new has been released.

This year is almost a little make or brake mentally for me...like if they come out and they do a 'new' song like Hardschool and things are a bit different and you could consider these the warm up shows for a new era with maybe an album to follow in a year or two I'd be right behind it....but if it's NITL tour year 6 then I'm going to struggle.

I can see not releasing a new album until the global situation is fixed, but this big break has been a perfect time for a tonal and mental shift...like really you'd hope this tour will be the start of a new era....but then....it's GNR lol...

The longer they leave it, the less people will care. The ball is in their court, it's up to them to make it count

They’re still “hoping” to complete an album? What the actual fuck have they been doing all this time?

If they haven’t finished an album when they’ve had nothing but time to work on it, I don’t believe we’ll ever get an album.

Such a waste of all that talent.

Axl will be 80, and they’ll still be “hoping” to put out an album...

It’s beyond a joke at this point.

And it’s funny too, I’m currently getting memories pop up on my Facebook feed from 5 years ago seeing the reunion in Vegas, when I still held hope for this band....

I genuinely have no idea, I posted off three or four emails ages ago, just saying, any updates, and I got a random email out of the blue.

I'll chase it up later in the year

No idea, stopped chasing it now, just passing on info. I'll have a once over check later in the year, but i guess people are long past caring smile

Tommy Stinson and Del James are the bagmen in countless new GNR capers including the bullying of Buckethead (and Bumblefoot), tour delays, hostilities towards fans and much more.

Who do you think are the Top 5 parties?

1. Axl
2. Beta
3. Del James
4. Bob Ezrin
5. Tommy Stinson

Del is actually alright.

I think there are different way of looking at things. I don't think Axl would have continued without people around him he could trust, whether those people have made good decisions over the years is debateable, but who makes good decisions all the time. It reads that the record company made the release of Chinese Democracy difficult, and I think that is a shame.

All the band can do now is worry about what happens in the future, and hopefully once Covid settles down we'll get something.

Sounds fake and the songs are far too bad and basic. It sounds like it was recorded on a freeware 1990s music app

He's on contract, which in Josh Freese's time meant any Guns activity (tours, etc) would be a "priority" over other ventures. Ron got quite pissed about this arrangement in around 2011-2. You could almost say below-the-line personnel learned about tours from the web tongue

I imagine he enjoys a fixed salary from Guns, which may not be as much as one thinks. This would be for services rendered on the road and in studio.

As for splitting the loot with the lawyers, that's a first. You have the Guns partnership (ASD), who take most of the cake. After that, the rest of the band fend for themselves. If they get a fixed salary from Guns by courtesy of showing up, negotiating your own NITL cut  may be more tempting than letting TB decide your worth for the promoters.

I don't know how it all worked. I just know they all had lawyers and negotiated for themselves. What that was, I don't know.

Is asked about when did Axl tell him about Slash/Duff coming back, say Axl didn't tell him about it.

While we already knew this, that's the perfect example of how horribly mismanaged this band really is.

They don't give a shit about the salaried employees. Not respected enough to even bother pretending that they're in the loop.

They actually reunited without cluing in the employees that anything was happening.

Duff: "Fuck Izzy"

That line goes for the rest of them too.

They're just along for the ride. Can stay or leave...you'll be replaced with someone equally as clueless.

Unreal.

The biggest travesty of the past 25 years is how GNR has been managed.

These guys need to stop being asked about ANYTHING.

They don't know.... they'll never know.

This is why Pitman was so easily expendable. It's true of everyone else too.

Someone gets him to read out your too hardschool (Don't think 4tus realizes what it is)

Holy shit. He really doesn't know what it is.

It's true....the ex CD members really did come to the forums for any news.

Edit

This completely destroys what the insiders said about Fortus being in the loop long before it officially happened and working on material with Slash.

2nd edit

If there really is material in the pipeline, the employees were never in the loop. It's the 'Big 3' working on it and more than likely just Slash and Duff....Axls vocals were finished 20 years ago.

If he doesn't know what Hardshool is, he doesn't know anything about any of it.

To be fair, I know the promoter who was going to do the tour before Livenation took over, and they all negotiated their share individually with their own lawyers, so I'm not sure if Fortus is an employee, as such. But, Slash, Duff and Axl are the GN'R partnership. I'm not sure how it all slots together, but Fortus is somewhere between employee and partner and his own person.
