Funny enough, I can't hear a thing.
Oh, wait. There it is. Pretty overpowering as such. Definitely sounds like what you'd expect the '95 Slash/Zakk demos to be. Two lead guitars interleaving, pretty seamlessly I must say. Could this be one 'seed for a song' by Slash & co for CD2?
We need BLS for his two cents here.

Maybe it is from the 1996 period, but Axl's vocals don't sound like from then. Sounds like Shadow of Your Love style.

The reunion speak does seem to have picked up, although I haven't seen anything significant that suggests things have changed. There are some minor things like old pics of Slash being posted on the GNR Facebook feed I think, plus didn't Del say or post something positive about Slash?
Reunion speak always picks up for a band when there's nothing on the immediate horizon.
I have seen a bit of reunion speculation lately. Did I miss something that makes it more of a possibility now? It seems as though nothing has really changed, but I haven't been following closely at all.

I think it's a terrible idea. Luck, chance, fate, timing or whatever you want to call it played a HUGE role in the rise of GNR. That small move most definitely played a role in AFD's legacy(imagine the album's legacy where the cross doesn't exist).
Using the shuttle for the album would have got negative reaction because it would have been just to get media attention. AFD would have rotted on store shelves. That album did not need manufactured hype/controversy to sell it.
From the time the bike was first mentioned(2002) until the album was finally released(2008), someone at Uni should have vetoed CD's album cover. Has to be one of the worst(if not THE worst) album cover from a mainstream band. Hell, those fake fan made bike covers were all better looking than the real cover.
The alternate CD covers weren't any better either.
I agree 1000% that no band ever looked cooler than GNR did in SCOM, although I think Axl reached his peak in the cool department at Farm Aid. Image wise it was all downhill from there.
I loved the cover. The tiny poverty bike with the enormous basket and GNR plastered on the wall behind was a good image I think.
Said whatever political statement he was trying to make quite well.

The NOA is not a registration, but indicates that the mark will be allowed to register after an acceptable Statement of Use (SOU) is filed. The deadline for filing an SOU or request for extension of time (extension request) to file an SOU is calculated from the date the NOA issued. If the applicant does not file an SOU or extension request within 6 months of the date the NOA issued, the application will abandon.
Within 6 months go to step 9a or step 9b or step 9c.
By June 23rd, the copyright claim will be null and void unless Ax applies for a 6-month extension (up to 2,5 years in total) or provides with a Statement of Use. In the latter scenario, the copyright would be his in around August.

Tom Zutaut was in a Detroit record shop the other week, having a Q & A. Any forum regulars seemed to be out of it, but he did post the intriguing comment on the shops FB page.

He's writing a book, then. Figures. As Brain said, anyone who's been around the band long enough would have their own material. A book by Zoot might be a hoot, as he was there to sign the band to Geffen, watch them ascend, fall into a stalemate with Axl on the UYI release, orchestrate 'The Devil' sessions, release the Snakepit album... and come back for a year into the RTB / Bucket / Brain era, which was prolly one of the high watermarks of madness in the CD saga.
Can't trust a word the guy says. He's a snake oil salesman.
