DoubleTalkingJive wrote:I dunno about the CD intro. That surely makes the whole song. I be willing to wager that the public would like that, people like a great build up to a song. Look at Jungle. Granted it's not Jungle and I don't want to get into comparisons but I'd say that CD without the buildup imo wouldn't be as strong of a song. I never really liked CD all that much until that build up.
I don't think CD would be a single. If it was, I would imagine it would be a later single depending on the success of the record.
But even if it were released with the intro in tact, DJs would ofcourse talk over it until at least the point where the riff starts if not all the way until the vocals.
Yeah that intro wouldn't work on radio, until the guitar kicks in the sound is quiet and subtle, unless you had your stereo cranked right up that's nearly a minute of 'dead air' for a radio station. If CD was ever to be played on radio I would imagine it would begin when Finck's riff starts, it would be a sin if they left out Axls opening scream and just started the song on the vocals.

I'm postive in a sense because this is probably the closest the album has ever been to coming out that we know of, which is obviously good news. Like others have said though with the record industry in turmoil the label could be hanging on to see how things pan out, I doubt they'll bat an eyelid at keeping Axl and us waiting considering how long they've been waiting.

This chick at my job goes nuts if she drinks coke.
I think every year it's something, first it was bad if you ate eggs, then it was good
Then margarine was bad, now margarine is good
Wine is bad, now wine is good
Red meat is bad, then red meat is good.I agree, too much of anything isn't good, everything in moderation.
If we all followed the guidlines on healthy eating we'd all starve to death anyway. If something isn't a carcinogen it has too many e numbers or will cause immediate and irreversible obesity. Like you said keep things in moderation and there won't be much of a problem.
Having said that it's scary to see what happens to a tooth if you put it in a glass of coke overnight

"People wonder what in the world it is because this is the Bible Belt, and everyone is afraid it's the end of times," said Steve Allen, a freight company owner and pilot who said the object he saw last week was a mile long and half a mile wide. "It was positively, absolutely nothing from these parts."
A mile long and a half mile wide!!! And only several people saw this, half the state should have seen something that big.

he he, like he said, i think the "02 meltdown" was the reason why none of it got used....
It's a shame it looks really cool. I wonder if there's a chance he was involved in designing cover art for the album as well?

TV I think, although a games console is pretty useless without a TV but anyway hypothetically if that wasn't the case I'd say TV. I could count on one hand the number of programmes I genuinely want to watch that come on each year.

Bach's recent comments vary from Axl having 3 to 4 albums. Now I know Bach's comments aren't going to be accepted by some, I'm sceptical myself but unless he's flat out lieing it seems GNR have 30-40 songs in various stages of completion. Assuming all we've heard over the past few days is true we can say that 13 songs are done to the stage of being ready to be released. After that it's hard to say, what songs are working titles for something else, what's been scrapped etc? There's theories that If The World and Atlas Shrugged (a song Classic Rock has heard) are the same song, smae with Eulogy of a Broken Heart. Of course there's no proof of this but a few scenarios like this and it trims the number of songs considerably.
Axl said 36 songs, Bach has said 3/4 albums and CD supposedly has 13 tracks. When Axl said we're working on 36 songs I doubt he meant that some of the 36 were just different versions of the same songs, nor do I think when Baz says 3 albums he means 3 albums with some of the same songs on each album. There's 3 albums worth of new material, it's just hearing it that's the problem.
