I can just see Axl and Lana busting out Perfect Crime! ?

I can't believe they even expected 'financial returns' from the first two songs. I agree if you wanna make some dollars go for an album, promote it heavily and for gods sake talk about it enthusiastically!

Any updates buddy?

Hiya,

Songs are coming out soon, summertime. Record label are the goto for this, band members vague on anything

Year off next year, assumed from external parties and plans outside gnr

Glastonbury will have at least one guest possibly, source, the guest. Very guessable lol

What happened with Slash saying last year, that after the US tour finishes this year, they’ll work on a new GN’R album? I guess that means those plans are shelved too?

They’re so full of shit.

Just come out and tell us no new music is coming instead of this forever dangling carrot bullshit.

I have enjoyed the buzz Metallica have created around their new album. I actually went to the record store to buy the album yesterday and they were out of copies! GNR are one of the few remaining 'old' bands that could generate a buzz like this, if they put the hard yards in. I disagree they couldn't make money either. I think the reality is though they're creatively spent, too lazy, poorly managed etc

Better not be Carrie Underwood! They really could make a splash by having Izzy and Steven imo

I’d suggest both Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold if you’re looking for some good rock in the wait for new GN’R music.

Even though I know they’re not “new”, they both have new albums out this year, and they’re both great rock bands.

But back to your point, there aren’t any great new young rock bands carrying the torch.
And for the love of god, I hope no one brings up Greta Van Fleet as a young band to check out…

From what I've heard so far I think I'll enjoy 72 Seasons. Quite enjoyed Avenged Sevenfolds new song. I enjoy Ghost for their creativity as well which at the moment is borderline rock - I think their new EP will have a television song which should be interesting. Greta I have to say I enjoyed their first ep but generally downhill from there.

I was looking forward to the prospect of an Axl/DC album probably more than CD2

Pick the best songs from GNR 'solo' albums (incl Gilby) with some of Axls unreleased tracks and make a great double album. Include guest players and make it a real celebration. A lot of people wouldn't even know many of these tracks. Might be a few arguments over the track selection/royalties etc but at least it wouldn't need too much creativity just the time to rerecord
