I never really thought about it until just now, but yeah I do it all the time.

I went back to Best Buy today.  I messed around with the Mac a little bit more and then looked at PC's.  I'm now leaning more toward the PC's because I figure I will need them for most jobs.  I can't afford to get rusty when it comes to windows.  Also for the same price as the Macbook pro I was looking at, I can get a mind blowing PC.  Check this one out, I may go pick it up tomorrow.

Check it out guys and let me know what you think.  The specs are utterly badass, but at this point I'm not quite sure if a 17 inch is too big to carry around or not.

One thing that I really like on the MacBooks though is their multitouch trackpads...way to cool, two fingers to scroll, you can push the whole thing in, its a shame windows doesnt have an equivalent.

I went to a Best Buy today and spent some quality time with the MacBook Pro 13.  Its my first real experience messing around with Mac OS X.  Seems like a pretty decent system and the employee was REALLY helpful.  I'm still not sure though.  The only thing the PC got going for it in my book is the price difference.  I can get a completely badass laptop for the same price I can get a middle of the road Macbook pro.  But the Mac seems so much nicer, software wise.  Hardly no viruses, a cleaner UI, and quite a few other things, I was very impressed.

After the past few days, I gotta agree with you.

I'm interested in the web developers here... what are your guys' thoughts?

Windows 7 is good and if you're careful and don't mess up your PC you should be fine. Get AVG virus protection and set it to do a scan once a day, if it ever finds a problem, deal with it immediately.

Just to clarify, I'm pretty competent when it comes to PC's.  I've had one since I was real young and consider myself very proficient with a variety of things.  I'm usually the person my family turns to when something is wrong with theirs.  Thats why I'm so pissed with Windows.  I have McAfee virus scan/firewall/security center installed, it updates itself every day, scans every other, real-time virus scan enabled, and I still didnt know about it till I started getting weird popups and I decided to run a full scan on an off day.

The main reason I've kept a windows PC in the past is because of the games.  But now I have a 360 and most windows games come out on that and you don't have to worry about updating your rig every few years (except for new consoles).

My PC died again over the weekend.  I'm really sick of all the BS that comes along with a Windows based PC.  I'm thinking of switching to a Mac, but would like everyones opinion.

Great idea guys.  If I had the money, I would definitely help out.  Who knows, money may loosen up a little here soon, if it does, I'll donate.

I ordered Little Big Planet through our company rewards thing. I kinda wanna see what all the fuss is about.

Don't get your hopes up for an awesome single player campaign, its no Mario.  But there is infinite replayability with all the user generated levels.  That in and of itself makes it worth the purchase price.
