First of all, I'm glad to see this place is still up and running. I know the community as a whole hasn't exactly prospered in the last few years. I don't know what the current status is Admin / Mods /finance wise, but I don't Wanna see this place die. I'm willing to help out financially if need be.
* To whoever is running this now, feel free to PM me. *
Anyways, sorry to be so inactive for so long. I lost my job in 2011 and decided to go back to school and get my degree. ( Graduated this past December; Penn State- Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice) Now its job hunting time, So... well I have a good bit of extra time on my hands lol.
I'm going to try and log in more. But I'll say upfront that I haven't been following GnR news AT ALL recently. So someone feel free to give me the broad strokes of the last few years.
I'm also going to (probably) update this thread with my Facebook and Linkedin contact info.

#13 Re: The Sunset Strip » The Video Game Console Thread » 606 weeks ago
I dunno if its because I'm getting older or because I finally have a halfway decent gaming PC, but I could literally not care less about either of the new consoles that have come out recently. It doesn't help that the launch lineups have been shit either.
#14 Re: The Sunset Strip » Documentary Channels » 606 weeks ago
Fuck the history channel nowadays. Most of them all all shit tv shows now. The real docs are still on the other channels though. What service do you have? Check out "The Military Channel", "The Military History Channel", "History 2", and theres a few others I can't think of that are excellent.
And I love all the ancient aliens stuff. Its batshit, but super entertaining and interesting. ANNDDD its spawned some of the best "I'm not saying its was aliens...BUT IT WAS ALIENS" memes ever haha.

I'm a big WW2 buff and I know I have a book or two that touched on this subject. As James said, it's a great theory, but there seems to be way too many other sources that call bullshit on it. Gimme a day or two and I'll see if I can find either of the books though.

I was sitting here thinking of the NFL ""Redskins" debacle and thought of one in a million. It may very well be in my top 3 of favorite GnR songs..but I'm not sure I could comfortably play it (let alone sing along to it) in public. Thoughts?

Hey guys. Any chance we could get tapatalk support in here? Or at the very least, could we do away with the forced mobile view on mobile (ipad, android, etc) browsers? Reason I ask, with the mobile view, it doesn't let you zoom in. You're stuck at the original resolution which makes it super hard to read.
