I’d suggest both Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold if you’re looking for some good rock in the wait for new GN’R music.

Even though I know they’re not “new”, they both have new albums out this year, and they’re both great rock bands.

But back to your point, there aren’t any great new young rock bands carrying the torch.
And for the love of god, I hope no one brings up Greta Van Fleet as a young band to check out…

From what I've heard so far I think I'll enjoy 72 Seasons. Quite enjoyed Avenged Sevenfolds new song. I enjoy Ghost for their creativity as well which at the moment is borderline rock - I think their new EP will have a television song which should be interesting. Greta I have to say I enjoyed their first ep but generally downhill from there.

I was looking forward to the prospect of an Axl/DC album probably more than CD2

Pick the best songs from GNR 'solo' albums (incl Gilby) with some of Axls unreleased tracks and make a great double album. Include guest players and make it a real celebration. A lot of people wouldn't even know many of these tracks. Might be a few arguments over the track selection/royalties etc but at least it wouldn't need too much creativity just the time to rerecord

Ironically it's the 'casuals' who they've targeted who are now dropping as they've already seen them

Currently enjoying Daisy Jones and the Six!

Nikki Sixxs take on new music for Motley Crue.

Within the same chat, the bassist did not close the door on new music either. While the band did record new songs for The Dirt soundtrack, nothing is currently on the books. That said, Sixx added, "As far as new music — I think new music always comes when the band is getting along. We get along so great right now. We've been having the best time."

On the surface Axl Duff and Slash seem at peace with each other. But perhaps it's too superficial.

A very big deal in the UK

Perfect time to unleash the album!

Thinking back to the release of Absurd. Maybe Axl wanted a song to promote the tour and the record company saw little value in this track so we're happy to do a deal with the band? Hardskool thrown in as a bundle to test the waters for more down the line?

I'd like to hear the record companies perspective on GNR.
