Isn't Die Hard 4 the one where they jumped an suv into a helicopter?

I'm about 3-1/2ish hours from Chicago. I'd do that for sure, but I don't know how much more, for all the reasons already stated... But I'd do that same drive for much less too. I'm doing it for Social D next month, and I did it for a local Chicago band The Tossers for NYE.
The one wrinkle in that would be if enough of my GNR-geek friends put a cool road trip together.
A buddy of mine wanted to do that to Palm Springs for The Big 4 when that was the only American date, but I (and everyone else he asked) wouldn't have done that. I'd at least think harder about it for a reunited GNR... but I wouldn't end up spending $1000 or whatever just for the show.

I saw the thread title and assumed this was about Mel.

^I just zoomed my browser in to 200%. It stayed super clear.
Two thoughts about Izzy:
I think it was Alan Niven's quote, "He wasn't the heart and soul of the band he was the heart of the soul of the band", is fucking brilliant.
The Author referred to him as "for all intents and purposes retired"... You would think he could mention the 10 solo albums he's put out since leaving the band.
Also, Duff's sections just make me look that much more forward to his book.

I never got a system with a cd player till christmas 94!
You think that's late... It was I think 97 for me. I evidently always had uncommonly good luck with cassettes. I only ever had a few break or stretch, even the ones I played the shit out of for 10-ish years. Plus the tape player I had was really good.
Then to top it off, when I finally broke down and bought a cd player, the cassette player was just thrown into the stereo as an afterthought. My tapes suddenly sounded as bad as people had been trying to convince me tapes sounded for the last 6 years.
It was the right time though, because it couldn't have been much more than 6 months later that cassettes completely disappeard from record stores. That is, except for the used racks that were previously mentioned.
I'm still a little pissed that I completely missed "long boxes" I always thought those looked cool.

The world should sit up and listen to a guy like this. If you just skimmed the article, go back and read it comprehensively. Then click on the link and watch the video.

#198 Re: Guns N' Roses » UYI vs CD vs AFD » 727 weeks ago
Oh wait were we supossed to pick between AFD - a shortened UYI or a 12 track CD....
I can't do that!!! What the fuck!!!
That's like asking me to choose between pussy, ass and tits. I'd explain which album is which....but it would turn bad!
Well... I wouldn't wanna choose, but pussy would win easy.

I've always dug the hell out of Marching To Mars, his first post-VH solo album. If memory serves Slash and Sorum both have guest appearances on it as well.
