My advice, dont ask here but ask a fighters forum.
I can recommend muscletalk.co.uk which has a fighters section even though its predominately a bodybuilding/fitness forum, but it has a good wide ranging community, many fighters, who would offer great guidance.

I would but, kids on the other hand? Unlikely. I couldnt give a feck how old people are.

I likes what I like, man, Pink Floyd were retired before I discovered them.

I'd love to see pop artists appearing in the mold of Bonnie Tyler, I'm no fan but I can see that she made it on account of her voice, not the size of dress she fit into. She wouldnt get the opportunity nowadays.

#2023 Re: The Garden » Do you find sick jokes funny? » 892 weeks ago

I think humour exists to make the best out of bad situations, but I  do not like jokes at other, more unfortunate,  peoples expense. "Sick" jokes are not funny in my book, they are plain sick full stop. Are jokes about the severely mentally handicapped/"vegtables" funny? Of course there fucking not! Thats sick jokes to me, and about rape, child abuse, and fuck knows what else some people like to call humour. Are bullies funny?
Edgy, imaginative, unconventional humour is a completely different kettle of fish to "sick". Sick humour lacks imagination and intelligence to me, its weak beyond belief. The only way its even remotely effective or appreciated to me is the age old act of self deprecation, even then it can easily cross the line of decency.

Naaa, I much prefer "wit". A lost custom.

Its funny, I seen Iron Maiden 6 months after GNR in the same venue and they were later coming on than Axl - but people were standing around jam packed just waiting patiently and quietly. Before GNR came on I genuinally though a riot could break out, and fights really did! But if it was a no show that night, it would have been absolute pandamonium and I'd pity the staff on duty. I was on the phone to a friend when I was in the venue, telling him how I was gonna go ninja style and bag me one of those cool "GNR" drapes which hung on stage if there was a riot, but I'd probably have just fucked off to find the nearest pub if it really did kickoff.
But with that Maiden show everybody there would probaby have just left in an orderly fashion and just  went home muttering.

To be fair actually, the Maiden show was a frosty December night, and GNR played on a stifingly hot and humid summers Friday night. Inside the hall the temperture was absolutely cooking, add alcohol to that and your going to get some frayed tempers.

Well being from Scotland, it aint Canadian Russ !! I've had Canadian Club and Crown Royal and I do like them very much, especially CR, but I've only had that once on top of Ben Lomond. A distillery near me used to bottle Canadian Club and I knew folks who worked there and would bring home reguarly, its nice smile

My personal favorites are Springbank, Highland Park, MaCallan, Glenmorangie, Bunnahabhain, Taliskar - to be honest the only one I havnt been keen on was Laphroaig, it tastes like the hospital.

I got talking to a barman in the Highlands of Scotland when I was on a study tour with uni a few years back, and he told me of a bottle he had behind the bar that was too expensive to sell to punters. It was £100 for a tiny measure, but he gave me one for free and it was the sweetest nectar beyond what I could ever imagine. Thats the greatest, I cant remember what it was though, I was a bit pissed.
But many a cheap blend have tickled me just right, I've downed many a Famous Grouse, Bells or Whyte and MacKay in my time 5

Billy's cool, loved his autobiography, good to see someone rise to success and a great marriage despite a shitty childhood.

Never read it, I suppose I should, I grew up on him listening to my parents vinyl recording of his shows and he is so familar its never really occurred to me to read it. I think working class folks in Scotland related to him like the black folks related to Richard Pryors comedy in 70's America, he was speaking about things they could relate to more than what the more established, acceptable entertainers did.
He spoke the language of a minority.
I met him in Glasgow last year, Shettleston Tesco - a real shithole. I was doing grounds maintenance and walking out the store when I clocked him walking in, he likes to go for walks around the city. Suprising cause you are more likely to meet him in LA or Australia now, I thought he had ditched us here. But he still likes to go out a wander when he is home.
Its funny, he is called "The Big Yin" here in Scotland, which means "big man" on account of his height, but I'm taller than him and I still said "Aright Big Yin!" automatically when I greeted him  14
