Sorry, I don't understand those of you who say "No news is good news".  This isn't 1990, it's 2020.  Maybe they'll release something, but silence is in no way a good thing for an aging rock band trying to capitalize on its former glory and the nostalgia of late 30s/late 40s year-olds with enough change to spend $170 a pop to relive their youth (which is what most GN'R concert goers are - they couldn't name Dizzy in a lineup if you put a gun to their head).

They announced Euro gigs Dec 13th. We know US dates are to come due to Duff's wife. It's not silent. When I say silent I mean there is no carelessness from third parties. No noise.  And no responses from key players

That to me is good from years of speaking to people. If nothing is happening people talk

This is the year.

The silence is a good thing.

We did the successful lead up to Coachella. We have written off years until this year. We are always ballpark.

There will be an album.

I do not recall that setlist. Do you have an image?

It's all fake

Take it elsewhere

Another Fortus interview mentioning 'hope' for new material this year

I think Costanzo was on tour with them on their most recent tour, so I presume he is still around

I think something will be released. To be fair, we did the lead up to Coachella in the beginning, and I have written off previous years prior to this year or album releases, so I am not a romantic when it comes to these things.

I think the interviews last year alone, the not written off comment by Fernando on reddit, Hard School on the alt setlist, the new chapter thing, the confidence of filling 60000 stadia this year is enough to assume there is something afoot. There has to be

Thanks for the inside baseball, sp1at!

For what it’s worth. “Drop” is only used as slang for “release music,” so this is either close to a confirmation or the GNR social team sucks.

True but imma take the latter.

It's nothing new if you think about it, it just reaffirms what has already been said in interviews and social media.

I would just go for Q2 or Q3 based on what I posted.

North American dates will follow, as stated already, obvious anyway after an Irish date

S American dates have not been branded new chapter yet, so I don't know if that's significant for timing. So my guess would be the Euro dates will coincide with an album release

so... South American leg announced... which pretty much covers March/April

I think we are getting something soon...

So when would it be likely to have a North American leg amongst all this? Cos my guess is that's when an album will drop? With a single/EP early 2020?

I'm hoping they squeeze Asia/Pacific in between SA and Euro but that may be unrealistic...

N Americas tour will follow the Europe tour, then Oz and surrounding areas nearer Xmas. It's appears to be a typical world tour
