My songs of the moment are Catcher, Scraped, Madagascar, SOD, TIL and Prostitute - those are the ones I actually turn on the stereo specifically cause I've got a hankering to blast one of them.
I've been playing Prostitute a fair bit, my wee cousin was visiting the other day and came dancing into the room when it was on. She is 14 and was dancing around saying what a cool beat it had and how awesome it sounded without having a clue who it was, when I told her it was Guns N Roses her face was a picture of shock saying "I thought they just played scary heavy metal..."
I played her a few other softer songs and she loved them, she hated the title track and Shacklers when I played them though, but I seen that coming a mile away

I find it extremely absurd that in 2009 we rely on Vince Neil for GNR news. Maybe next year Don Rickles can drive by Axl's house and let us know the length of the grass.
Hopefully, I may be the only one but I'm actually quite interested in what Axls garden looks like

I love CD more and more but I spend less time on the forums. The reason is I'm sick of reading dogshite, I get about as much pleasure reading the posts as what I would reading the comments on youtube. Theres about 20% of posters I have respect for and the rest I'm beginning to loath. But its no biggie, I just log off and get on with my life and when GNR become active or something substantial happens I'll once again lap it up online.
Point being its GNR forums content thats putting me off using them, not Axl or CD. Just putting that out cause I've read a few comments about forum stagnancy being the indicator of people giving up on Axl, but its not the whole reason.

Its a fact of life that people mellow as they get older, the quiet life becomes more appealing. At weekends the jail cells are mostly full of drunken teenagers and twentysomethings who start brawling the moment someone threatens their macho-ness, its bullshit bravado. When the average guy hits 30 years old and above it takes something a helluva lot more serious than someone spilling your drink or giving you the eye for you to start throwing punches.
I dont know anyone round here who gets in fights as much as they did when we were teenagers, it would be pretty pathetic if they did. Fighting is for the kids. I know a few guys who really loved a scrap when younger and took it up as a sport and thats great, but brawling in bars and in the street cause you cant keep your composure is pretty weak.
Just cause Axl isnt as quick to raise his hands as he was in his youth doesnt mean he has forgotten how to handle himself. If anything he can fight better now because took up kickboxing, and probably more martial arts, in the ninties and is a lot sturdier and stronger than that scrawny loudmouth "toughguy" he used to be.

Oh nice one, thanks. Might have to just go against my principles and download mp3 version of the albums, its really hard to get physical copies of his albums over here.
