Well, it was. I'm by no means a nu-GNR fanboy, but there is some very good material on the album and it never really got a fair hearing from the public. Some dude on a college football forum thought it was new music and I had to tell him it was from 2008. So there are still very casual GN'R fans out there who straight up never heard it or didn't know about it at the time and I believe Axl wants them to hear some of the music.

I voted for Rocket Queen. This one song sums up everything legendary about Appetite. You have the Guns with kickass dirty rock and roll, including the trademark GN'R "groove" led by Steven Adler. You have the Roses with arguably Axl's most emotional lyrics/vocals ever at the end of this song:

It even has the actual sex sounds in the middle of the song, which just makes the song and the album even more iconic than it already is. In my opinion Rocket Queen is the greatest album ender song in rock history. The flip side is that Jungle is probably the greatest album opener in rock history as well.
You can't really go wrong choosing any of these songs. There are about 8 of them that are undeniable monster classics in the genre (Jungle, Easy, Train, Brownstone, Paradise, Michelle, Child, and Queen). Brownstone is straight up my own personal anthem. Never done any kind of drugs, but the lyrics about struggling to get out of bed. Yep, that's me. I am not a morning person at all, so those lyrics are spot on for me. Plus the groove of that song is amazing.

Yes they do. If this was hardcore tour they would be playing clubs.
That's a sad commentary on music in general, but it is the way of the world. Forget Coma, give us Jungle for the billionth time.

Buckethead was the new Slash. He's the guy that everyone knew, attracted you to (New) Guns N' Roses, and delivered killer solos.
Buckethead could've been the new Slash. He had a unique character that stood out. He was not utilized properly. The 3 guitarist concept ruined any chance of him becoming the star player on stage and then factor in the fact that not one single band promo pic came out while he was in the band.
Had it just been Bucket and Tobias(which it would've been had Finck not jumped back in at the last second), Bucket and Finck, or Bucket and Fortus, and actual music gets released and the lineup promoted, Axl would've had his Slash replacement.
It just didn't work out.
There is no way you replace Slash. Not possible. Buckethead is extremely talented, but his media persona is a problem. Slash had the iconic guitar riffs/solos and he was friendly to the fans and media. He did a lot of heavy lifting with Duff and Matt during the Illusion tour while Axl was turning into a recluse with each passing day.
Buckethead doesn't even speak. How can you expect a guy like that to replace someone with the media presence of Slash? And then to make matters worse, Axl was even more of a recluse by the time Buckethead was in the band. Not a good combination for public relations.

SLASH learns Seeker, Better, Twat, CD, Sorry... Can Axl not throw Slash and Duff a fucking bone??! Slither is a classic song.
Axl said "not in this lifetime" would he ever play with Slash again, but here they are playing together. That's a pretty big bone by itself. Massive amounts of money that will help wipe out Slash's divorce expenses.

Fuck me this is amazing. I mean, this is pretty much the AFD sound. Since Fortus is nailing Izzy for the most part and it isn't as distinct as Adler this is it. I mean, it is fucking amazing. Great video and audio.
Except Axl doesn't sound like Mickey Mouse on Appetite.

I doubt anyone wants to say the wrong thing that could bring it all crashing down. They're still feeling each other out I suppose.
BTW, the last time these three were together, they weren't talking to the press either. Only promo TSI had was a couple Slash interviews. The next year only had Gilby talk to RS, which helped lead to his firing.
Other thing is they might be shopping the interview to different media people to see who will pay the most for the first interview.

I'm glad they don't have animosity anymore, but at this point the live show is boring to me. I'm not even sure I give a shit about new music either. As with many great bands, GN'R had their time to conquer the world and it is long over at this point...regardless of how many people are happy to show up for nostalgia tours.

OK, just found a new article with comments from Brian about the hearing loss. He puts it into great perspective by comparing to young sports people who get injured and it ends their career. He has had a great run for a very long time and at least this didn't happen when he was 25 like it does for some of those sports people. Also good perspective from him that it's not life or death. As he said, it's not cancer or some terminal disease. And he is pretty lucky to have had a great long life in rock and roll. Bon Scott was not so fortunate (likewise with Cobain, Lennon, Hendrix, and so many others).
