True but i can separate what I like and hate from seeing why others love them etc
i don't like U2 but I can understand why they are so acclaimed

Didn't Axl have to sign some sort of agreement to go on as scheduled??

My Immortal sounded awesome.. the song after... not so much

always drives me nuts when people say the HOF don't matter or Grammy awards dont matter.
sure they do.

Also...in general you can't expect a guy at 49 to look like he did at 39 to look like he did at 29. He's a human being afterall. He has to age, and it's natural to thicken up a little when getting older.
I'm sure he's still going to sound awesome.
I will agree that I'm not a huge fan of the constant hats. Even if there's an issue with his hair or something...but constantly being in a hat seems forced.
But hey....as Olorin said...not really about his looks for me
seriously?? tell that to Anthony Kiedis,Jon Bon jovi or even Duff.. Look at Duff now compared to UYI tour for instance.

No they didn't. Their music doesn't hold up worth a damn, whereas GN'R put out timeless classics that still kick ass even today. Bon Jovi has made a lot of money. So does Britney Spears.
Bono wrote:Also I'll go to my gave saying Bon Jovi is a way better band than Nirvana ever was. Just because Rolling Stone put Cobain on the cover and called him the voice of a generation doesn't mean shit. yeah they helped changed the musical landscape and yes they deserve to be in the hall of fame but if anyone says they'd take Nirvana's career over Bon Jovi's I'll just assume you're high as a kite. Why would you? So you can have a legacy to thump your chest about?
Nirvana is certainly overrated but still a hell of a lot better than Bon Jovi. 100 years from now, people won't give a shit about Bon Jovi selling a lot of records or making a lot of money on tour. The music is the thing that will be judged over time.
Completely disagree.. Prayer and Wanted Hold up just as well today as they did in 86/87.

I was looking at last year's nominees and Bon Jovi was nominated (not inducted), but they were dropped from the nominee list this time around. How pissed will Jon be if GN'R gets in before his band? I still remember him ranting about how they are still a big touring act, yet everyone in the media seems to focus on Axl/GN'R.
Being a diehard Bon Jovi and GNR fan.. I can say GNR belong in ahead of Bon Jovi. They def have better music/songs on the whole, more complex/deep etc..
Now whose career would i rather have?? Def Bon Jovi.
Speak of which; you're thoughts on Hugh?
Hugh McDonald??
NO
He still till this day isn't considered a "Member" of Bon Jovi session/touring member.

Buckethead,Robin,Pitman and Tommy deserve to go in over Gilby... Gilby was a "Touring" guitarist and only recording he was on was a covers album.
HOF usually goes to the members most thought to contribute to the bands fame/success/popularity.
So I'd imagine Original AFD lineup and MAYBE Sorum although he has zero writing credits.
Dizzy simply played parts written by Axl for the most part.. So not sure bout that one either.
