There's a WTTJ from Cologne Germany in 93 I think, its unbelievable. For some some reason they play it at a faster tempo and it also has a wicked demonic introduction. Axl lets loose this scream during the "do you know where yu are" breakdown in the middle of the song, it comes from the bowels of hell I swear.
Its soul destroying that its a shitty audience recording, the quality is terrible, because I think its the best Jungle Guns N Roses have ever played.

Why have a chat in the middle of the night? No wonder Axl picked him.

I hate this show. Its the worst performance of his whole life. He sounds like a 6 yr old girl.
great intro tho.
That scream is one of the best of his career

Its funny watching it now after Tommy saying the crowd was like a jumbo jet engine blowing in your face. When Axl starts singing he sounds out of time and then you see him adjust the volume thing on his belt, I know from my dj days trying to mix when you cant hear your monitor, what you hear from the (louder) speakers directed at the crowd is like one or two beats behind whats actually happening - so you come in behind and it sounds messy.

Not to be an ass to quote buzzsaw but why would he have bothered?
Because it's the decent thing to do.
Yeah, I was disapointed he never acknowledged his leaving. It was bizarre how he disabled his normal website when he went walkabout and wouldnt answer GNR question from people who met him at shows.
Getting a copy of Chinese Democracy signed by all the members who played on it must be the fan-challenge of a lifetime

What was the story of Robin getting pissed at Axl in Mexico city for delaying the shows due to anxiety or something? Sounds like a BS rumor, but I remember reading it somewhere, anyone care to reset that?
One of the shows in Mexico started late but a guy who was there posted on mygnr saying the band were in the building for ages, it was Axl who awol, and he seen Robin punching a wall repeatedly, furious about something.
I think he was legit, he posted this long before Robin had joined NIN.
Thanks for that letter Fat-Drunk, do you have the one he wrote after GNR pulled out of Rock In Rio 4?
