Ohh wow. Now we're talking. Oh yes. That is a VERY VERY Myles Kennedy song. Reminds me of Myle's AB work.
This is exactly what I wanted from Myles and Slash.
GREAT!!
This to me is GNR level good.
I didn't like Apocalyptic Love that much. some nice songs but not GNR level good.
This album just might be.
I'm going to buy this album.
I haven't bought a physical copy of a Slash album since Libertad.

Buried alive is still the greatest rock song of the past 10 years.
If Myles made music of this quality with Slash then I'd be very into the new album!

Smoking Guns wrote:Fuck Matt... So sick of reading about Duff, Izzy, Matt, etc being "cool" with Axl. How can you be "cool" with Axl when he is totally not open to reconcile with one of your best friends ever. Where the fuck is the back bone with these people? Seems kind of selfish to me a little bit. They can all be cordial to Axl and they should, but to do ANYTHING he wants with out any conditions, like, "hey, I will come play, but can we bury the hatchet with Slash please" or something like that is just ridiculous. Everyone can go back to GNR, but with No Slash, IT IS NOT EVER GOING TO BE GNR. Slash was 50% of the image of GNR. And musically speaking he was maybe 80% because those signature riffs were so huge. Just pisses me off when Axl gets his cake and can eat it too.
I don't think it makes them spineless. In fact, it probably says a little something about how they actually feel toward Slash these days.
Obviously something happened with Velvet Revolver that was not publicized. They were supposedly close to naming a singer, then it never happens, Duff is back to doing Loaded and Slash goes solo.
Scott Weiland: I have to say this, and I'm not just saying this now because of my situation I went through, but I heard a lot of great Guns n' Roses stories you guys in the press will never hear. Everyone has made Axl out to be this horrendously crazy person, this bad guy, and I don't know him very well at all. He and I for whatever reason got almost tricked into this little media spat for a moment because one of our band members happened to run into him and said that he said something. So, my point being that having been in a band with Velvet Revolver now for five and a half years, I'm not quite so sure that it was all Axl's fault.

Originally I think Matt said something about him talking to Axl years prior and ironing things out for the most part over the phone. Not sure the full situation. I could see it happening. The only people I don't see right now are Slash and Adler right now. Hell..I wouldn't mind Josh Freese jumping on stage one of these days to play since he hasn't done a GNR show yet.
Yeah? did not know that. Wow. I get slated for saying this but I always preferred Matt's playing....
I understand why Adler was great. I like the way he plays too, but I think Matt suits GNR more.

This is just awesome, you do hear him calling the hardest they do at the end though.
Wow. Those are some great performances.
I almost wish that the upcoming Vegas DVD was of these shows. It's great to see the band and their singer on fire!

Matt Sorum discussed Duff McKagan’s reunion with Axl Rose and performing with the current version of Guns N’ Roses in a new interview with Radio.com.
“Duff’s like a really consummate gentleman, he’s always been the mediator. I think he got caught in the middle of all the other stuff. So for him to mend fences [with Axl], it was cool. It’s time. Rather than sitting around and saying ‘What if?’ He was really cool about it, he sent us all e-mails. It was nice, it felt cool, it felt right.”
He was then asked if he’d perform with the current GNR if Axl Rose asked him to, “Yeah, sure. I got no problems with any of that, you know? Life’s too short. It’s getting shorter too.”

I've missed your posts the last little bit Axlin. They are very insightful.
There are so many people I know that are passive, and because they are passive, they think they are selfless. Nope... not the same thing.
That is a very good point. I think I've seen that a lot in people too. You ask them what they want to do for the day and they say: "Oh whatever man it's all good I'll go with the flow." so you bring them to some bar that they don't like and they say something like "Why did you bring me here? This place is totally shit.". I've always gotten that vibe from Slash. He "goes with the flow" but if the flow isn't exactly what he wants it to be he'll have a problem with that. If you're going to REALLY be passive and go with the flow commit and accept everything hat comes your way as fair game because you decided to open yourself to that. Don't bitch about it and blame other people.
Even the way Slash describes himself in interviews and in his own auto-bio, like the moments with his mother & father, he comes across as oblivious as to how much damage his passive aggressive, obnoxious attitude does to the people around him.
Yeah. Reading that stuff just depressed me. The guy leaves a trail of destruction in his wake.
I think you've probably hit the nail on the head here. Axl is pro-active and Slash's misdeeds were probably sins of omission as opposed to outright attacks or sabotage .
Slash is laid back, too laid back, so laid back that Axl's philosophy of life probably seemed domineering and over-zealous to him.
I'm not trying to bash Slash here. I still love the guy. It's obvious that these 2 are not on the same page (and probably never were) and I think you've made a good case for why that is here Axlin.

Kind of the same thing I say anytime I hear a first single... If THIS is the best song on the album, Yes I'll be a bit disappointed. But usually that doesn't work that way. You're A Lie Certainly wasn't. Chinese Democracy certainly wasn't....
You know what. I can't think of a first single by ANY band EVER that was the best song on the album.
Come to think of it. It would be a horrible let down if that were the norm. People would never get an album if they thought they'd already heard the best it had to offer.

I was being sarcastic. But years ago people gave Slash major hell..
Yup. For guitar hero especially.

Awww. That's cute guys. Has y'all heard this version :
You're all right though.
Axl is a hard at to follow on Vocals and Slash is just as hard an act to follow on guitar.
