Giant reason I think the new band seems "Off" at times. When Axl leaves the stage now, U notice it, intensity, energy drops during the solo spots when use to Axl was dancing, running, jumping like a maniac, now he is in the back and the solos lose a bit of that overall fire.

i put  him in the Bono category.. he has something to his voice that just is nails onchalkboard for me.. i can't listen.

Chris Cornell is horrible.....

You've made other negative statements but asked for one. Consider that second one a bonus.

Still think there is a difference but i have came around to him somewhat since saying he was horrible. I'd like to see the entire thing so i can remember exactly in what context i was speaking.

I still don't fault others if they think he is the greatest. I can hear in his ability that people would think he is amazing, but for me, he isn't the first amazing singer i just couldn't get into.

Mercury for me is hard to judge simply because Queen songs were so overplayed that I never got to emotionally connect to a lot of them. I watched a Queen Concert on VH1 Classic, and yeah Freddie no doubt was amazing.

Freddie, and this will sound crazy/stupid, is almost too perfect. In concert, I like a little flaw, i like a little offness here and there, it kind of adds to the energy/experience. I enjoy great vocals but i don't always like feeling like im listening to the CD when i go to a concert. Axl adds a rawness to the CD version that makes it different enough.

Plus Axl just looks way cooler onstage imo. He looks like a pitbull that was fed gunpowder for 2 months and right before the show someone opened the cage. intensity puts him over the top.

same Faldor. I didn't know he sang ISE, was positive it wasn't him singing the beginning of Estranged as well.

Funny people call ice skating gay when it may be one of the hardest sports on the planet to actually do. I can shoot a basketball, hit a baseball, throw a football, tackle a guy, kick a soccer ball... no way in hell I could skate in a straight line, let alone do tricks and shit.

Love or hate Axl, that IRS scream is just off the fucking hook. Gave me chills the first time I heard it and along with Bucket's solo, its the highlight of the song.

Axl is one of the greats and as far as stage presence goes, few even come close to rivaling it. However, speaking just about vocals, he would have difficulty holding Cornell's jockstrap and don't take my word for it. Take Axl's. Axl said years ago that Cornell flat out buries him as a vocalist. Just because D thinks he sucks doesn't change that fact.

Cornell, I know i am wrong, but for me, everything he sings sounds the same to my ears. He has a fabulous voice but for me, his melodies all sound he same.

I see you still didn't download all that Cornell stuff I sent you. Thanks for wasting my time.

but listen to 10 random gnr songs and ask yourself if you were listening to these songs for the first time if you would be positive it's the same singer on all 10.

Considering he has an incredibly distinctive voice, its safe to say people can pick the voice out immediately.

Show me one post where I ever said Cornell sucks. I did nothing but praise why I completely understand people who think he is great, only he isn't my cup of tea.

well, being real for a moment, GNR fanatics like to think that Axl has surrounded himself with the greatest musicians ever assembled when in reality that couldn't be further from the truth. Just because someone is in GNR doesn't elevate them to being the greatest players of all time. Heard someone scoffing at the fact Slash's band got nominated for a Classic Rock award, as if his band are some third rate slouches with no talent or something.

late 80's early 90's axl is untouchable. I've never seen a frontman as electric/energetic/insane and as mindblowing as Axl. His singing style combined with high level sprinting, spinning, dancing, attitude, rants, true danger factor.

Just untouchable without a doubt. Can make u cry,can make u smile, Give u hope when u feel like dying, can make u want to take a sledgehammer to your room and destroy it.

We are all on GNR forums for a reason. so maybe I am biased, but nobody has the complete package Axl has. Everyone of course can have their opinion but I am a pretty objective person, and I haven't seen anyone other than Mercury possibly steven tyler come close.

are there vocalists with technically better vocals? Sure

Adam Lambert has one of the most technically gifted voices alive. Technical is one of the more overrated terms in music.

I personally don't care are how fast u can play, how many strings u can tap, how high u can sing etc its about what u can make me feel.

Anthony Kiedis has a very limited vocal range but I'll take him over Robert Plant... YEAH I SAID IT!

of course that could completely kill my Axl credibility but who cares?

Saw a recent pic of Vince and he is looking pretty slim.

Disagree completely Axlin. I think it gets better and better every episode and for me, a 50 minute show or however long the run time is, seems to go by in 10 minutes.

Best shows on TV imo That i've seen. Heard great things about other shows but I'll wait and watch them on DVD as I'm too far behind like Mad Men etc.

1.Dexter
2.Boardwalk
3.Walking Dead
Eastbound and Down close 4th.
