It's sort of the boy-zone version though....one of the things I love about Axl's version is it's sort of romanic and badass at the same time.
Would have loved to see how they popified the coda section..shame it ended.
I actually kinda dug kicking it in right at the drum fill like that, but it needed more kick right after it. Maybe shoulda went iight into the vocals after the fill so there wasn't that much of a mood drop.

they found weed on Willie Nelson's tour bus. In other news, the sky is blue and fish swim in the water.

The move to Sirius was known over a year in advance and they didn't keep that quiet. IF they were going somewhere else, you'd think they'd want to get the fans excited for that venture and start promoting it.
But think about this. If Sirius had half a brain, they would have seen what happened when he left regular radio. If they're smart, they added that into his contract. That he cant say shit about leaving for somewhere else until his contract is up and he's off their airwaves. Sirius got a year of free promotion because of that, and we all remember how it ended with him being taken off the air.
I suppose, but what would be the plan if they let Howard walk? I think that'd be a HUGE risk for them. Far more than overpaying for him for a few more years. They can't overlook the numbers that subscriptions went through the roof BECAUSE of Stern. I don't know any other way they could spin it. And to think the numbers wouldn't be drastically cut if they let him walk, I think they're smarter than that. Is Oprah radio going to keep people tuned in? The Martha Stewart channel?
I just hope he stays because I'm a current subscriber and it works for me. I don't really want to go through the process of buying new hardware and equipment and paying for another subscription for wherever he might move to. I will, but I won't be happy about it.
The show has been off the hook lately. If the show at Sirius is coming to an end, they're going out in style.
I heard or read somewhere recently that the rumour is that Sirius thinks the amount of subscriptions they'd lose vs what they pay Howard would end up being basically a wash.
It's a completely different level obviously, but a local morning team where I live has twice jumped stations in my time. They said the 1st time they knew it was going to happen 6 months in advance, but the second time they left for a 2 week Christmas vacation fully expecting to go back to work at the same station. Negotiations didn't go right so they switched with zero notice.

Well... What's the dude from Slipknot gonna do for Halloween? It wouldn't really make sense for him to put on a mask.

The difference between Axl and most other people with something like that is that with Axl you'd take layers out without him around, not add them on.
#246 Re: The Sunset Strip » VINCE NEIL Rehearsing For 'Skating With The Stars'; New Photos Release » 764 weeks ago
Didn't they do this concept already? I think Uncle Joey from Full House was on it.
The only "star" I recognize there is Vince Neil, who's hardly much of a star. That said, this isn't a show that's aimed at me, so they probably don't give a shit who I recognize.
#247 Re: The Garden » Drunken stories » 765 weeks ago
I got drunk one night I walked home but I didn't notice I had walked into a neighbors house and crashed on their couch.
Be careful with that. A guy I went to high school with did that same thing, but woke up to a pistol in his face.
It had been the County Sheriff's house he crashed in.

I just yesterday told the story at work of the time my old roommate and I decided we needed to walk (a mile or so) to a restaurant for breakfast at about 5AM after drinking all night. I was drunk enough that after walking there, eating, and walking home I still went to bed tanked.
The best part is I can actually say I've experienced the cliche of walking home drunk and seeing people out for their morning jog.

Would be a nice Valentine's Day gift to myself, but if those prices are close to accurate for my area too there's no fucking way...
At least not until they don't sell worth a damn and get cut to half price or better.
