If thats what you have to do to promote your album these days, no wonder Axl just stayed home.

The Shawshank Redemtion.
Once Upon A Time In America is a really great film, but Shawshank is so much more emotionally powerful, its absolutely flawless. Its gonna take something special to beat it, it must be a strong contender to take the crown.

If her dad does drugs she has probably seen enough to know the downsides of drugs and wise enough to make her own decisions rather than submit to peer pressure. She says she doesnt want to end up like her dad, but if she has started hanging out with these guys, mabye she doesnt completely disagree with that lifestyle.
But in the end she will do what she wants to do and make her own choices, I dont know if you can say anything that would sway her.
When I was 15 I boozed, smoked weed, took speed, E, tried coke and a variety of pills - everybody I hung out with did it. The weekends we all just got fucked up out our minds. Then they started dabbling in heroin and that just wasnt a drug I wanted to mess with, I knew the danger. I still hung out with them and they smoked it in front of me all the time but I still was never tempted.
So I hung in there for a while and seen the deterioration of them all and then eventually I pretty much severed ties with them. They all became full blown junkies and I stopped even smoking weed, it just didnt appeal to me any more.
But I had the same choices as them at the beginning, I just made different ones. Nobody forced any of them to take heroin, they chose to and I chose not to.

OK last I heard there were no plans for a reunion, I'm sure Axl mentioned it somewhere....
Soooo anyway.
Some artists like to test out their new songs in their car stereos or invite friends to the studio to hear playbacks. How did you listen to the album when it was a work in progress?
My studio, car stereos, a CD Walkman, computers and different speaker setups, clubs, iPods. Actually, our first leaks were from using a sound system in a strip club in the early hours when it was basically empty. I went there to play the tracks for someone I was interested in working with. I'd gone there with a guy who worked band security, who was allegedly somehow related to the owners, feeling it was a bit more of a protected environment than it turned out to be.
The album sounds amazing in the car, theres something special about cranking an album up when your on a long journey and singing your balls off. The music sounds so much better in that enclosed space.
I actually crashed my work van into the back of a family of tourists on a country road in 2007 listening to the demos.
I was singing The Blues at the top of my voice and admiring the scenery and never noticed they had stopped suddenly, I skidded and smashed into then knocking their car right into a field.
What a twat I felt
So would the songs I was listening to have came from that strip club?
How would that have worked, would someone just have pressed record while they were being played?
#2569 Re: Guns N' Roses » Trent Blasts Axl In New Interview » 910 weeks ago
I dont understand what Trent was implying when he said that, his words never made any sense. It just seems like a vague knock at Axl for no very good reason.
