I don't own rock band but from what I hear it is possible to 'pick apart' the tracks, so we should be able to get just vocals, or just bass.
Is this right? I can't afford to shell out on a console right now, but fuck me I'm excited at the prospect of master tracks being dissected!
So is this the case, and if so will anyone here volunteer?

Axl mentioned in one of his chats that Robin's work for the future album(s?) is complete. I hope that Axl doesn't make this new fella record these parts out of respect for Finck, and also because it would inevitably delay a release.

Just been trawling through some old posts from mygnr and htgth.
Found the following written by dave-gnfnr2k at htgth (May 06)
"To make a long story short, this guy claimed to have stolen a cd from the studio and wanted someone to leak the whole cd or cds. He gave razz that clip as proof. Razz didnt want to fuck over axls hard work and leak all the songs. Merck got wind of it and ask Razz to help catch the guy, and if they caught him he would get to meet axl and vip to hammerstein. After merck caught him he blew off razz".
If this is true then Razz has never had the full track, and the guy who did has already been fingered

I reckon your best bet is to have a chat with that guy who had that website, can't remember the name now.
Wasn't he the person who came up with 'Checkmate', (from memory - alcohol impaired!) which was a phrase he came up with to fuck Merck off during the leaks.
Pretty sure he got this leak and was persuaded not to distribute it, could be wrong tho.
What was his name now??
