It doesn't mean Axl got a "problem". It means he wanna do things a specific way. This obviously crashes with how managers want to do things.

It doesn't simply mean the managers are right, and Axl is wrong just because he falls out of favour with them.

managers normally keep their eye on the money
Axl is more about the integrity etc

managers dont give a fuck about intergrity.

thus the conflict.

The album is still being streamed on Myspace, which would tell me Axl does know and is letting it happen.

And tbh, during the first year of the album's release, the album's streaming had nearly the exact amount of hits as the album sold. I don't think they lost anything with it. It was probably the most effective promotion the album had hmm

i dont think u can count hits and sales the same, cause i for instance listened to each song about 10 times.

so it isn't like one person per song listened. so those numbers are skewered

i bet it cost them some sales no doubt. big thing the album had going for it was the curiosity factor. so a lot of people im sure heard it on Myspace and passed whereas if they were out and saw it, they may have impulsed bought it.

Wow reading that, Axl should get 5 million and more.  I gotta side with Axl all the way on this one. Certainly explains a lot of shit.

Do u know why the shit in the top 10 on Billboard is in the Top 10 on billboard? It isn't cause its the "Best" its because it has the artists with the most push behind them.

Well surely if Axl signed a contract that stipulated marketing and promo obligations of the label then presumably it would have happened.  If not then Axl can easily win in court for breach of contract.  My guess it was probably ambiguous or not in writing and so Azoff has now turned around and shafted him.

I mean seriously something like promo for example (what it will involve and who is going to pay for it) SHOULD have been addressed in writing since it was always going to be a conentious issue given how much money the label had already poured into the project.  I always thought he would be pushing shit up hill to get them to do anything else to help him (promo or otherwise) as I am sure he probably didn't have any goodwill left with the label.

I support Axl, but if he fucked up with his business decision then that's sad for him and the album but there is nobody else to blame but himself for that.  We all know "Azoff is the reunion" king so what else did he expect when he hired him?  Here was my assessment of the situation 2 years ago when Azoff was apppointed:

I believe Azoff still acts on behalf of Weiland (or at least someone in his stable works with Weiland).  Now Weailand has been conveniently steered down the STP track which clears the decks for VR to slowly die one way or another.

Next object for Azoff is to get CD out of the way - i.e. most likely releasing it.

Now for the conspiracy theory bit, it may be in the best intersts of Azoff if CD doesn't sell too well.  Get the monkey off the back by getting it out, but then if it doesn't sell too well.....

Enter the reunion into the equation and the mega $$'s - not just for the band but for the management.

http://www.gnrevolution.com/viewtopic.p … 931#p27931

If I could see that happening from the sidelines why couldn't Axl?

Regarding his fight to take on Azoff/Live Nation etc - I fully support Axl.  That's a big battle to take on and I hope he is joined by numerous other artists and relevant parties because I think that sort of monopoly needs to be stopped.

Maybe Axl told Irving up front there would be no reunion ever and Irving kinda did the head nod, yeah yeah i know, i know fully expecting that he could change Axl's mind overtime.

If CD is promoted and pushed and is successful, our chances of a GNR reunion go away. If it flops, fails etc a reunion is that much more likely.
I think its valid.

I honestly believe Axl on this 100 percent. No way he releases this album and sits in his fucking house for a year. If that were the case, he never would've released it in the the first place. I think he was promised certain things and those things were not delivered.

why would a manager with Azoff's track record want to manage this version of GNR if he wasn't looking forward to the golden egg down the road.

I can almost guarantee those GNR will reunite for those European gigs was a feeler put out by Azoff to see the interest and money in it.

sadly, this lawsuit could cost Axl so much money, he may have to end up doing a reunion tour. Axl is rich, Irving is Wealthy  big difference.

U know what, I always thought that we here were GNR fans and Axl Rose fans that kept stuff real and what not but this is one issue, i figured all Axl fans would get behind and support him on

I mean seriously, what would Axl have to do to have some of u on here get his back? I think its ridiculous.

Do u know why the shit in the top 10 on Billboard is in the Top 10 on billboard? It isn't cause its the "Best" its because it has the artists with the most push behind them.

Slash even said it himself with the solo album ,that he didn't expect it to sell what VR did cause it didn't have Clive Davis behind it pushing it.

The shit u hear on the radio and the shit dominating the charts does so in a large part cause of the managment team/firm and the record label.

If Axl doesn't have their support, it isn't easy to sell records and tour and promote.

Axl can go on every TV show in the world, but if his management team and record label aren't behind it pushing it, it isn't gonna do anything on radio or the charts.

can anyone here honestly say they've ever seen a band on Jay Leno and went and bought the CD the next day?

Sayin there is no demand for a US tour??

Sure maybe in Mid west bumbed fuck USA but Axl still does very well in Major US Markets.

everyone knows how bad i want to see a reunion but i don't want to see it like this.

If Axl really was sabotaged, that is bullshit.

I think a lot of us on here were saying how Irving's main objective would be a reunion tour. so it doesn't surprise me to read this.

I hope Axl wins. This merger is bullshit anyway and should never be allowed.

I think its ridiculous for people to tell someone how they should live and what they should do.

Slash no longer had the GNR name brand to keep him in the public eye.. so to stay out there, he had to do some shit.

Slash, come make some money and get exposure and stay relevant in an industry that chews people up and spits them out

Slash: Nah thats ok... the 200 GNR message board fans will call me a sell out. id rather have integrity *Whatever the fuck this bullshit word means anyway*

Integrity, legacy are all bullshit words so fanboys can hold onto something from the past.

Axl didn't sell out with those big ass videos? going from Appetite to being hard rock Elton John?
Please.

Axl sold out the minute he bought those new teeth and starting fucking supermodels.
