i love the entire album now
it really has something for everybody and it has staying power IMO.
Saint is a Sinner too is fucking wicked if u are in the proper mood for it.
sounds like an after funeral march or something... it kinda haunts and disturbs me.

I think they slowed it down *SOD* took out the heavy guitar and Axl's 2002 falsetto type style works amazing on SOD.. sounded terrible on the old stuff but the blues was one song it worked to perfection
the rasp doesn't sound good on SOD

ron is a great guy and a great guitar player but he made Catcher unlistenable.
it was my favorite leak and i can't listen to the album version
Blues RIR III is one of my top 5-7 GNR songs of all time. At times it got close to an Estranged level for me
the SOD on the album is absolutely terrible.

I dont agree with u guys. I think a big reason music sucks today is cause no one is real.
everybody does the politically correct thing and the excitement is gone from music.
I love what Kanye West did to Taylor Swift. I love MIA speaking her true feelings.
I'll take a real artist over someone who are so worried about losing a record sale they become a puppet and fake.

DJ is a cool guy and i like him but the bar story was just lame and a pathetic attempt to appear cool
Times like that i wish it would've been a bad ass bartender who like worked part time to support his mma training and would've beat his ass.
just hate when someone who obviously isn't tough tries to act all macho and shit.
drives me nuts.

just for the record, my post had nothing to do with demos vs album
just strictly my state of mind
I think had GNR blew the roof off the VMA's, released a single the next day and all that.. it would've been a much bigger hit than what it turned out being.
however, i don't think anyone can argue that The blues demo and Catcher were million times better
and i also think Better was much stronger on the demos
Bucket's guitar was just amazing during the Chorus plus u didn't have the Pitman super mario bros fart sounds over the most kickass riff on the album.

I love how whatever Axl does is a failure. CD going platinum and the excuse was that all the sales came from internet fanboys who bought multiple copies was my favorite of all the excuses...
Yeah, you hate Axl carried on the name without any of the other guys and you'll never get over it... Have fun.
CD sold well despite hardly any advertising and being sold in one store chain. Slash's album will be everywhere and he's going to pimp the shit out of it. The difference is, I hope Slash's album sells well and I won't come up with a lame reason why it does or doesn't. I think his album blows. Others don't. Who cares?

i haven't heard one person say CD was a failure in this thread
it was an axlite starting shit on how CD debuted higher than By The Sword.
so facts were stated to give a good example of why
that is in no way taking anything away from CD the album, but trying to shed a little light on why I don't agree.
