Did the label feel there were no "hits" and maybe pressured Axl so much to come up with one that it caused a stalemate?

I feel the label took the best buy money and RAN and fell on their knees and thanked God they got a profit. so maybe they didn't want to throw those profits back into the record

We read it in Axl's billboard interview, it has been used as the reason things didn't go as planned.

So let's think about this for a moment;  Why wouldn't the record label support this album?

Anybody have any ideas?

I dont understand how someone can take a group of guys who have done nothing in GNR outside of Tommy, pit and say they are somehow better than guys who wrote Appetite,Lies and UYI

it is madness

i almost got banned at htgth for arguing this shit.

U can have Hendrix,Page and May in the same band, but they still have to WRITE shit

I was big time in love with the new band until the one group kept putting down and diminishing the old band and my need to defend the old band against these people have made me seem like i hate the new band which i dont

do i think they are the greatest band ever or that CD is the best CD ever made? NO

They are a good band, CD is a good album and I support them although they have a long way to go to replace the old band.

I believe in judging bands based on WHAT they do and not who they play with.

They have to live up to Afd and UYI to surpass the old band and I can't see that happening.

It pisses me off, u go to websites who thought bucket was greater than Slash, yet now he has left those people no longer support bucket, same as Robin..... he was so great till he left now u have only a handful who like the guy  now he is gone.

typical bullshit.

cool
I can't wait for H2 and i love everything about the remake except for what I pointed out above.

seems u either have to do monster micheal or human michael but I'm not sure you can do a mix of both.

I watched the remake last night on Showtime and I don't know....... I love most of it but I never understand horror movies and why the killer just forgets how to kill when it comes to the main character.....

With Laurie, does he want her dead? I mean he had 5 thousand opportunities to kill her and didnt.

is he conflicted which is why he can't pull the trigger on the kill?

so now u get part II

Ok, so now u have decided u want to kill her again?

why not kill her when you had numerous opportunities?

Plus in the remake, Michael is clearly human, so he takes 5 gunshot wounds?
you want to discuss plot holes........
why didn't he kill the sheriff's daughter? just a lot of stuff I don't "GET" about the remake.

5 years ago I started a thread claiming Chris Pitman would be the MVP of GNR.

Nice to see I was correct

Richard: studio musician don't care either way
DJ  can bring this band into a more current thing which could be good or bad. Love his stuff with Motley, but Motley ain't GNR u know?

Bumble: coolest GNR member since Slash as far as fans etc go but his solo on Catcher killed my favorite song........... still, gonna wait and see what kind of riffs he can write etc.

agree Tommy has earned his spot
