Why can't Slash keep a lead singer, D? tongue

People have called out Axl and Slash. And people who've worked with them haved raved about them both, too. So, you look at it how you want.  I'm not saying anyone is 100% right or wrong. Which went to my Duff comment. It's just not true when you make it out that everyone loves Slash and that somehow he's to be believed more than Axl. That is just not accurate. People who know Slash have attacked his credibility and honesty in the past. Not just Axl. I give Axl a lot of shit, but your argument(s) is pretty biased, D.

Can't keep a lead singer?

Scott said he had no problems with Slash at all and enjoyed working with him........... So.......... find some other examples please.

I also didn't say Slash should be believed more than Axl, I said when you have the majority telling the same exact stories as Slash....... is the enitre planet lying and only Axl telling the truth?

I don't absolve Slash of all the blame, I have always stated on the record that his drug abuse etc caused a major rift etc.

I think they both are culpable in the split but I do believe most of what Slash said about Axl just as I believe most of what Axl says about Slash.

They both were wrong but most of the time, Slash fans don't admit that and Axl fans definitely don't admit that.

Duff said he didn't agree with certain events. he never said "i don't agree with his version of why the band broke up.

Izzy has a HUGE interview in Classic Rock calling Axl Hitler and all sorts of shit why he quit having mainly to do with Axl and he going on late, tryin to make Izzy sign away a big percentage of his rights etc

I do not think Slash is necessarily 100 percent right, but I sure as fuck don't think Axl is 100 percent correct

I think they all pretty much shared in the blame for different reasons.

Problem with Axl is, Everyone still loves and wants to work with Slash whereas Izzy doesn't want to work with any singers anymore due to being scarred from Axl and Duff and Matt and Steven both kill to work with Slash but quit on Axl.

So maybe perception isn't reality but why does everyone speak highly of Slash and love to work with him and Axl can't keep a guitar player or a steady band?

I always thought having 3 guitar players gave a bad perception to be honest. U knew the media would run with the "it takes 3 to replace Slash" tag line.

Thing about Slash is

if everybody shares the same story as Slash........ how can Slash be wrong?

#2985 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy Chart Positions Thread » 885 weeks ago

oh yeah absolutely
i agree with james and a lot of others on here though that if they could've kept the 02 lineup together and been active and consistent. that lineup had a great shot at succeeding.

I can't really get into any of the new guys, cause u have no clue how long they will be in the band.

Axl can do what he wants and I respect that but let's be honest.

if he were the CEO of a business, he would've been fired years ago. he always talks negatively about Slash 'TaKing" over the band

well, maybe that wouldn't have been such a horrible thing lookin back on it all.

Guns N Roses = instant fan base and 10 million dollar advance

Axl Rose= starting a new brand and u don't get 10 million cause u'd have to negotiate a new contract.

no band photos/promo for me is to dupe people who don't know into buying this thinking its GNR

#2988 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy Chart Positions Thread » 885 weeks ago

Here is how I look at it Faldor.

Axl had this grand vision for what he wanted GNR to be. he got the keys to the brand and has done nothing with it.

I compare him to Matt Millen or a bad NFL General Manager. you got full control of this brand. What have u done with it?

#2989 Re: Guns N' Roses » Revisiting the Billboard Interview » 885 weeks ago

I don't get the hate for Slash to be honest.

Hell, Izzy called the man Hitler. Slash has never said anything that bad right?

I think he hates the fact that Slash left GNR and has made a damn good career without Axl. I think Axl figured SLash would fall on his face and come begging back and that hasn't happened.

Slash has went on to be an Icon and a lovable guy everyone wants to work with. *not bad for a cancer huh?* whereas Axl is this dude that lost the public opinion war and has been buried by the press etc.

I keep screaming this

Read Motley Crue's "The Dirt"

Nikki talks about how The label called them in and basically said fire john Corabi and get back Vince or we will not support anything u do.

This is obviously happening here. They are basically telling Axl to get back with the original or we aren't supporting shit.

Then why did Azoff shoot down the reunion rumors?  He could've easily said nothing and let those rumors go by the wayside.  It's one thing for Axl to tear down Slash and paint the picture that he wants no part of a reunion, but I don't see why Azoff would have to step in and say anything on the matter if deep down he really wanted the opposite.

Cause dude, Axl is resisting it. Axl doesn't want a reunion  just like Tommy lee was dead set against a reunion BUT record labels don't give a shit about Axl's "Integrity" or "feelings" All they know is, New GNR is worth maybe 2 million, Original GNR would be worth about 20 million.

in the dying age of record companies, they want maximum profits.

Azoff isn't saying anything cause he is smart and he doesn't want to get fired. So he is biding his time and just waiting and letting Axl run his course.

if Azoff can get The Eagles back together, he can get GNR back together. Think about it, Axl in 2001 hated EVERYBODY. now he just hates Slash. that can be fixed.

Remember, Axl got that sweet deal based off the OLD GNR's success. So the new band doesn't equate that massive of a deal.

Think about it. Why give Axl 10 million dollars to go GOLD in the US when they can sign 5 EMO bands for that and sell the same amount of records and make more money with each band?

U have to think about this:

Either what I said is happening, or Axl is the worst businessman/bandleader in the history of music.

I tend to think Axl is pretty genius, so I'd say it has to be the first.

Just read Axl's billboard again and the lack of support they got. just read between the lines. Buy "The Dirt" and read Nikki's chapter on the Corabi version battle with the label and tell me it doesn't sound just like this.
